Although there was no rain, this past Saturday wasn't amazing at CP weather-wise. I would imagine the weather in a few weekends will be similar.
Weather posted from Sat. says high of 54 and low of 45, with winds at 19-29 MPH, which is what killed me. I thought it was cold even with many layers, super busy, and not really worth going to unless you are REALLY into the Halloweekend things.
Waited nearly 2 hours for MF when the posted wait was 1 hour. All the lines for the haunts were really long. I think we got lucky waiting only 45 minutes for Hexed later in the evening.
I also thought I was adequately prepared for the weather. I had on 2 pairs of socks, winter boots, shirt, sweatshirt, jacket, hat w/ hoodie over it, mittens AND those feet/hand warmer packs and we were all still cold. It actually got better at night when the wind died down a little, but near the lake it was still very chilly.
In hindsight, I wouldn't go again on a Saturday in October. I think if you were miserable at Six Flags, you won't enjoy CP on a busy, cold day either, especially if you go at all during not busy times during the year. It's just not worth it, unless you plan to just hang out, ride some smaller stuff and watch shows. It would be a good time for those things. If you do decide to go, snag a package of those feet and hand warmers. They really did help...and when it got really cold, me and my niece literally ran for a few minutes and warmed up lol.
Wow Coco, that is some thorough reply, and I thank you. Now I will have to make a decision once I can get a forecast a couple days before we go.A high of 55 is about as low as would be acceptable.
Hang around and see shows is all we can do, as my wife's neck surgery took care of coaster riding. It's been like that this year, and probably next.

No it wouldn't be cool. MF is nearly unbearable to ride when it's in the mid 50's. I wouldn't want to ride it when it's below freezing. If it's cold enough to snow, I doubt any of the major coasters would be running.
Mid-50's? That's nearly tropical. And yes, coasters have run in the snow before.
I was in the park last Sunday I think it was about 50? Don't know for sure. I was a little chilly at first when we got there around 4 but once I was moving around I was fine with jeans, T-shirt and fleece pullover. I"m not one to get cold really fast. After sitting through a soccer tournament Saturday morning in the rain when I actually did need a winter coat in Oberlin I have to say Sandusky on Sunday was just peachy.
Some of us did Banshee in 32 degrees. And liked it.
