In one of CP's renderings, someone riding has their hands up! Hasn't this always been kind of a no-no with CP and their PR pics?

I've never seen any other pictures from CP with someone that has thier hands up.
But latter in the sequal to that pic, the persons arms are laying on the ground. CP subliminal messaging....

I wasn't worked up,just surprised CP actually put it on their site as politically correct as they usually are about such things.
And the artists rendering for Wicked Twister had the train on backwards. What's the big deal?

Really? I didn't see that one. No big deal, just interesting, they are so anal about this in their PR pics,I was surprised to see it in one of their drawings.
Did anyone count the levels on the tower in that drawing? I think they got carried away!

hehe, understood man.

I had my arms up during the launch on HYPERSONIC, no real biggie.

Hypersonic is 40 mph less than Top Thrill Dragster!
... and hence the reason I havent done it on TTD yet ;)

oh ya.... and it isnt open, but whatever =P

If you look in this pic of the Gemini, it looks as if someone in the front has their hands up. It is an official photo from the Cedar Point website, but it may just be an optical illusion because it is very blurry.

Yeah, the commercial for MF ( the one that had a camera mounted on the front car facing every one and said "don't blink or you'll miss it ) stopped showing after a while because of that very reason. I know this because my best friend Mark was in that commercial.

Top Thrill Dragster; it's nothing too short of a really tall coaster

The only reason MFjedi posted it is because Cedar Point goes out of their way to make sure all their pictures and videos are with riders' hands down.

I dont get it,..... i dont understand why they care they do the "pullthrew" to see if the board hits anything and what would be so wrong about having your hands up what could possibly go wrong? ...."fall out"~_^i dont think so,... put your hands on the track...... prolly not.So pleas someone tell me why they really care thanks.

It's a liability thing. They tell every train to keep their arms and legs inside the train at all times. If some moron does stick his arm out, and happens to smack a support... there's no way he can sue them. They did their part, he didn't follow the rules.

Your arms will not snap off from the acceleration. I don't know this for sure, but someone said the launch will only pull about 2 G's. I think your arms are capable of supporting double their weight.
Just look at the impulses. Sure their launch isn's as intense, but your legs dangle. There would be just as much of a problem with dangling legs as raised arms.

Yes true but your arms won't want to accellerate at 2Gs, they will tend to stay static thus forcing their arms to the rear. Its the impact that your arms will undergo that is dangerous whether its pulling a muscle or hitting the seat back. It would amost as if the hook stood a couple of feet behind the car and launched... ouch! or if the train launched while you head was leaning foward. You are pulling dangerously high Gs when you hit the vehicle like that. Which would probably explain why on Xcellerator, they staple you down.
