A new path in the future for cedar point...

I was wondering if you guys would agree with this and that is do you think that cedar point in the future should make a path that goes from TTD through to miili without having to go all the way around through frontier town or up past mantis. This has bugged me for a while and my feet get very sore with all the walking that the day entails and that would make a shorter gap to walk....

It they built a path between TTD and MF it would definitely open up the island for future expansion. But I guess we could say goodbye to the paddwheel, too. :(

Or you could build a bridge over PW?

Not necessarily...they could make the bridges over the lagoon high enough for the boats to pass under, although if they built a lot of stuff on Millennium Island, the scenery around the perimeter for paddlewheel would lose it's value, but who knows, it could work.

There were a few semi-in-the-know folks around here who INSISTED when Dragster opened there would be a path from between ID and Mantits heading over toward the Camp Snoopy area.

If they made a short cut, you wouldnt get thirsty and buy drinks, you might not get as tired to sit down and eat or stop in one of the gift shops to get out of the sun for a few. Sounds sarcastic, or maybe rediculous to some, but things like that are taken into consideration with layouts (not just at CP of course). Things are more stategically layed out then some might think. Its amazing how stores use that everyday to get you to see certain products you didnt come in for, or stay in their store longer. Just my thought.

As silly as it may seem, it is a strategy to get guests to spend more money. As is the expansion(s) in the back of the park. Before these new additions, there were no reasons for some people to go that far in the park.

Make a draw bridge for Paddlewheel Excursion. That would be cool.

^^ A drawbridge would be a great idea, and it would fit in very well with Cedar Point and that area, but the expense along with the maintenance would be killer. :)

The drawbridge would be a really cool idea, but the maintenance would be a large expense. Some people might not like having to wait all the time it takes a drawbridge to go up and down, along with the numerous boats, but overall it could be a cool idea. The vegetation loss would be pretty high though...

Thrills Around the Corner!

Don't forget that they would probably have to relocate the boneyard area under MF's second hill.

I absolutely hate walking all the way around, If all I wanna do is check lines and whatnot, its so incredibly tiring.

Doesn't really bother me, just another excuse to walk through Frontiertown. ;)

Ya it is just that either way you go you are still walking for like a mile and I think it would be in cedar points interest to make a path betwix the two....

Amen Fastball, amen. A path through would ruin the atmosphere IMO. I don't see how it would be in Cedar Point's interest to do so.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Walkin' does some good.

Walk, don't run.

I say just keep it as it is. At least the way it is now gets people to the back of the park.

It is an interesting idea and I'm sure CP has at least considered something like that, but the way the park is set up now is pretty good in my opinion. No reason to tear down more trees.
