To All,
My name is Lisa, MrScott's sister. I am having my brother Troy post this message because I just had to write and thank-you all for your generosity. I have shed many tears reading your thoughtful posts, wishing that Scott was still here to read. But he knew. He knew what a special group of people you all are. He talked of PointBuzz often, and many of your on-line names are familiar to me because of those conversations.
The day my big brother passed away, the first thought that came to my mind was that we have to let his on-line family know what has happened. I talked to my brother Troy about it, and he said he had already let you all know. I thought how funny, that he would have been thinking of the same thing on such a sorrowful day. I now realize why we both thought of it. We both new from talking to our brother, how much you all meant to him. The donation for the ride has been a wonderful thing for us to cling to while we deal with our grief, but it does not come close in comparison to the kind words you all have shared with us about Scott, and how he has touched your lives.
I will miss my brother beyond words. He was truly a generous person. You knew of his love for coasters, and CP, but his greatest love was sharing CP and coasters with family and friends. It was Scott that convinced me and my kids to go with him to CP for the first time (as an adult). The only vacations I was able to afford were short camping week-ends with my kids. When we went with him, we stayed in the campground since I have a small dog. He loved getting his niece and nephew on the biggest rides, telling them about the ride while we waited in line. I was always surprised that they still rode once it was our turn! I am thankful for all the wonderful memories our entire family will have. His life was cut entirely too short, but the life he led was a good one. One of sharing, one of fun, and one of compassion and generosity.
Scott had never re-married, but as a single person, used the opportunity to take my kids under his wing and show them a good time. I will never forget the year 2000, when Scott took my two kids and me to Disney! I was a single parent at the time making $6 per hour. A Disney trip for my kids was never going to be within my reach, and Scott knew it had always been my dream to bring them. Being the special person he was, he paid for all of us to go and have fun together. That was the first time my daughter had ever gotten on a coaster. (It took a lot of Uncle Scott's convincing…and a bit of bribery) And it was the only 'real' vacation I have ever had.
Scott went with my two kids and me, and later my husband, our four kids and me - camping often. No camping trip will ever be the same without him along to stir up fun, although he will always be with us in spirit and in or hearts. Rest assured, when we sit around the campfire and share stories, one of the stories shared will always be how the PointBuzz family came together during this family's worst of times, and eased our sorrow.
Thank-you all so much, you truly are a great bunch of people who should all feel proud!
Sincerely, Lisa and family
I feel bad that the only thing I can stir up these past weeks regarding this is silence. I'm not a person of beautiful words, yet deep down I can think and feel nothing but the utmost respect and sincere sorrow for MrScott and continue to bless him and everyone he knew and loved. *** Edited 5/2/2007 12:35:09 PM UTC by TTD 120mph***

MrScott seemed to put a smile on any one's face when he posted. I'll think that I'll try to do something for him on my site like a memory topic for him. We will all dearly miss him.

Maybe we should petition CP to memorialize him in some way. Maybe remane LHP tp "Scott Point?"

^As much of a good intentioned idea that is, it's very unlikely to happen....petition or not.

Whatever they do, it must involve water. :-)
That was a beautiful letter. I'm misty eyed now after reading it. He will no doubt be remembered as a kind, generous, kind hearted and loving man. God Bless MrScott and his family.
