A Few Questions about TTD 2 You Guys!

Hello I am new to these boards and this is my first post...anyways i had a few questions about TTD that I thought maybe you all knew. First of all, where exactly is the Que Line?......is it in the middle of the tracks like it kinda shows on the pictures? I would think that train zooming by at 120 MPH 50 times would have to make you wanna get some tylenol. Also, are they gonna put some kinda fence up because cant any moron or kid (most likely moronic kid) throw something at the ride while its going? Afterall, it cant feel to good to get by a penny going 120 MPH.

My Next question is about the themeing...Can anyone describe what it will be like. I heard talk of grandstands and things like taht on CP.com but where are they going to place those. Since there are 6 trains is it going to be the same waiting time if it is a saturday at the park?

Finally, my last of quetsions is about the bidding to be the first rider..Would anybody really want to do that. How much do you think the highest bid will go becuase if it starts at 75 and goes until april 30 thats a long freakin time. I guess it just goes to show that money can do just about anything..at least its going to a good cause =)

Well, before they get mean on you, I should suggest that you use the search feature before starting a new thread. Most people don't know about that feature, and then posters that have been on here a long time make some rude comment and then your topic gets closed. I am pretty sure there are good threads on these subjects already so knock yourself out! Oh and welcome.
Yes, the queue line will be in the middle of the ride. I don't know about the fences, but, they would be a good idea.

As for the theming, check this out, http://www.topthrilldragster.com/public/inside_park/rides/thrill/ttd/specs/diary/index.cfm?diaryid=6 this is one of the contruction diary entries. It was done by Rob Decker on March 18. It really gives a good idea for the theming.

I really don't know about the bidding. I really have had no interest in that or money, for that matter.

Welcome aboard.

About the bidding... believe me, people DO pay lots of money for that auction. They did the same thing for MF and WT and both went really well. Remember, though, that the money goes directly to benefit charity. I think there are even a few people on these boards that have done the VIP auction in the past.

World's first strata-coaster!

Welcome to the boards! Just remember that if you have any questions try checking the search feature or everyone will nail you for it. I really hope that people are willing to pay alot of money to get to ride TTD first, since it's all going to charity. You will also find that people on these boards can be very helpfull.

See you around!

Can't wait to be at the Point!

Incidently, where can I find some kind of listing for bid amounts on the previous auctions? Yes, I searched. Couldn't find anything on actual dollar figures regarding this. I was gonna start a new thread( >8-O), but didn't wanna get nailed.

"Que line" [twitches]

queue- a word of British origin for a line of people

line- a queue of people

queue line- a line of people in line

Please, "queue line" has pretty much become standard ignorance in our language. There's no sense in pointing it out every time. "Carne asada steak" anyone?

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of Dragster, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.

And for computer geeks.....

NIC Card.......

DOH ! !

LOL Gary, that one has bugged me from the beginning. Glad I'm not the only one. There's no other way to say it. NIC or NI Card just don't sound right.

Ahem....Back to the topic

The top bids for WT were over $1000, I don't think a 420ft tall coaster will have a problem raising money. ;)
Cedar Point's previous two auctions for Millennium Force and Wicked Twister went really well as the top bid for MF was $2,000 and Wicked Twister was $700. I got seats from both auctions for $168.00 & $166.00 respectivley. I do not think they will have any problems selling these 96 seats.

Will the addition of TTD allow me to get more rides on MF this year?

Someone bid $2202 for the first ride on xcelerator's purple train. Thats $1 per foot on the ride.
why the heck would you pay to ride a ride that you could ride if you waited an hour or two MY GOD PEOPLE USE COMMEN SENSE
plus ttd is such a short ride the line for it cant be more than 2 hours long JUST WAIT IT OUT
Because the money goes to a good Charity. So come on and admit it, If money was not an issue for you at all, I am sure most on this board would love to say they were among the first to ride it. Be honest now, you know you would.
Well ttdruler I hate to tell you this but ALL THE MONEY goes to someone like american red cross. Its a good cause thats why people do it. But hey if giving money to people that need it is stupid then I must be a moron.
