So its 5:54 AM and I just woke up out of a deep sleep... I was dreaming about... CEDAR POINT's project 2007?!?!?!? Oh yes. HAH I could smell the fries cooking it was one of those type of dreams. I was walking around the park (which for some reson was mostly inside or underground with a lot of swimming pools?!) we had to swim through tons of areas to get to prject 2007 underground testing facility which is where they built it. (what!?) we were picked at random throughout the park and were given an old wild west parchment paper which told us hints and clues about where to go so we then started on our quest going though these intricate underground mazes.... untill we found the site. We borded the chairs which hung out over the sides of the track (similar to that "prototype design" thats been posted on these forums) 2 cars on each side... it wasnt a 4d but the charis definitley hung off to the side. we rode the ride a good 5 times... each time it seemed more and more intense, but was absolutley an awesome ride, once we were done we were all given lifetime passes for the park and left.
RANDOM?!? LOL crazy crazy dreams I have. anyways i wanted to share this with everyone.
back to bed I go

Was Project 2007 called "Maverick" by any chance?

Roller Coasters are to Inversions as Gymnastics is to Flips
What's the Difference?
I'm impressed that you got to ride the ride. Whenever I have had Cedar Point dreams (haven't had one in quite awhile come to think of it) I am always kept from getting on the ride by something. There will be a long line, or I'm waiting for someone in my group, or the bus gets there late. When I finally get to the point where I would actually get to ride, I wake up. It is very annoying.
The rides are also always really goofy in my dreams as is the park itself (although I don't think that I've ever had to swim and traverse underground passages to get to a ride).
...and enjoy the rest of your day at Cedar Point, The Am-aaaa-zement park!
I've died on Top Thrill Dragster 5 times in my dreams. One of those was the night before we got to ride it. ;)
I love dreams where you're in a familiar place but things are completely different (the pools and swimming).
As for the dream...remember if it had any inversions? I know you probably forgot the details like that but...
Summer was made for a Cedar Point day~

Sounds like a wet dream to me. ;)

I've wanted to start this thread since I came on board, but didn't want to get a bad rep for starting too many. Don't start on me, TTD120 ;)
Couple weeks ago I dreamt that the entire end of the peninusla was under some kind of vast airplane hangar. You couldn't get near it because there were all these official looking people in Men In black style suits. Of course, they were specifically on the lookout to make sure I couldn't get in. It really sucked...
I usually have a coaster/amusement park dream every few weeks, if not more often. When I dream about Geauga Lake, it's completely screwed up and frequently attached to some kind of indoor flea market. It almost always rains in that dream and they shut the park down.
I also have stand-alone coaster dreams, where there's a roller coaster literally in the middle of nowhere...along an old highway, connected to a bar or a truck stop. I often have to fix up and run those rides. Frequently the scale is all out of whack, almost like that guy's coaster in Indiana, where you can stand up in the bottom of the loop and virtually touch the top.
Of course, dreams are mostly only interesting to the people who actually had them, but I'd be curious to find out if there are common themes, archetypes, whatever, in enthusiasts' dreams.

Reminds me of the time I had a dream in about '98-ish where there was a giant coaster in about the same spot as MF's lift hill is now...except it was bright neon pink. =/
You guys must be addicted...
The only time I dream about a park is maybe one week before I actually go.
haha. The worst I've ever had was my friends and I were riding Raptor and through the "roll" the car went out of control, seatbelts opened, seatbelt strape ripped, and they flipped out of the car and god knows where there bodies landed and then the train rattled and I was falling out, and I woke up...
Thank God this isn't DisneyWorld and I wasn't wishing upon that certain star ;)

I dream about the park all of the time. The worst was the time I dreamt they got rid of Season Passes...

I've had a few extremely odd dreams about the Point, and in every one of them, there are always several things way out of scale or from a different park. Like there were S&S trains on TTD, only these trains were like 5 times their real size, and TTD was only like 30 ft. high and like 15 mph. Yeah, really wierd...
Remember any specifics about the ride, ohioboy?

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
But, potentially, that could happen in real life.... :)

I remember one dream I had, that Top Thrill Dragster, was in my backyard as long with Cedar Point. So, I went on it, and then all I could remember was rolling back on and the station was in my grage, it really crepped me out.
The only thing that i remember significantly about the ride in my dream was that the trains were brown in color, they have the word MAVERICK on them... there were shoulder restraints. the cars were like this... U-U-M-U-U the U is the seat... the M is the actual train... their was no lift hill it started off from the station with a not very powerful launch as it went into the first overbanked turn and then once it got to the first "hill" there was another launch section which got the ride really going, from what i recall it was a very cool ride, nothing too crazy about the design with the exception of the cars, lots of flips and rolls in the ride. Oh and the station was wooden (i think it was the old wwl station)
dreams are crazy.

Last year, when i was working in the park, I had a dream about CP every week or so. Part of it was because Millie was right outside my window.

Arguing with a coaster enthusiast is like wrestling with a pig in mud. After a while, you realize the pig enjoys it.
I used to have more CP dreams then now. I do not have any clue why. But the last one I had went something like this: For some odd reason Sky Lift went over by wicked twister and people were falling out of the cars. I do not think that the cars were coming off the cable, but the people were falling out and going SPLAT all over the midway over by Twister. In fact I think that MaxAir was not there and people were falling about where MA is today. Kinda strange.
Sometimes when I am At work, and I am having a stressful day, I will close my eyes and daydream that I am walking down the midway. This helps relieve some stress. I typicaly do this during the off-season
