a bug at CP??

after we returned from our trip of 5/18 to 5/21, all three of us here in the house got sick with an upper resperitory infection.

now some friends of ours who went over Memorial Day weekend are sick with the same thing. we have not seen these friends since either of our trips...

has anyone else contracted what we are now calling "CP Flu"???

::laugh:: I think it's just a coincedence!

My daughter caught a lil' bug one of the first times we went this year...but I believe that was because it was one of those cold and rainy days. My son nor I have gotten anything ... not even her cold. I'm actually thinking hers might be allergies.

I guess anytime you're in a place that is "touched" by so many different people, there is a pretty good chance of bringing back some germs. I take a one-a-day vitamin every day to try to combat such things by having a better immune system. I swear by doing that. The truth is, most people in our country don't eat healthy enough to get all the nutrients they need in their food alone, so the vitamin supplement is necessary.

I know when I visited CP two weeks ago, a lot of the employees were caughing and I know of a few that had gone to the clinic to get antibiotics. I bet most of their problems was the result of being out in so much cold/wet weather in the beginning of the season.

i dunno...we were riding MF in the rain last October and no one got sick...i am inclined to think its not just a coincidence, but a genuine bug thats going around up there...

doesnt mean i wont be going back tho. at least we all had FUN getting sick...

I have been to CP four times so far this year and not gotten sick once yet. But, I have never really been prone to getting sick, so who knows.
I don't think your sickness and CP are related. Think about it.

Keep in mind, that the two weeks leading up to Memorial Weekend, we were having winter temps. Then we were hit with summer temps. I see a lot of people getting sick when hit with these extreme temperature changes. I was there and got a cold also.

Well, I love CP and roller coasters, but find it disgusting holding on to handle bars that are touched hundreds of times a day in the hot, blazing sun. I make sure I wash my hands before I eat and have never gotten sick from it. My point... it wouldn't surprise me at all if you got a flu bug from touching the rides.
Most viruses take 7-14 days to take hold. I really think it's coincidental.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

yeah theres nothing worse than a guy leaving a stall and going right outside to ride some coasters. they should bring back those antibacterial soap dispensers
Yeah, I'm sure many don't even wash their hands after wiping...please! It's all in your head.

I want to drive the Zamboni!

I dunno, but that upper-respritory infection is all over N. Ohio...I have it, still, and know many others that have it, as well. I haven't been to Cedar Point lately, either! Ahhh, NyQuil.

I've been there twice, and I haven't gotten anything. I got a cold in late April early May, but I wasn't anywhere near Cedar Point.

Well let me add this for thought.....we employees at CP call the upper resp. infection the CP bug because like half of the employees have it here...so i wouldnt call it all coincedence!

I had to take some days off last weekend because of the "CP Bug/Flu" I even went to the hospital because of it, and the doctor even referred to it as the CP Flu. Maybe it's coincidence but whatever it is, apparently it's not just here, it's all over the area.

I have the CP bug and Wicked Twister is the cure....
I have not called in sick in 8 years. I don't work for CP, but am determined not to let a little bug get me down.
