A BIG QUESTION!

I'm taking a weeks vacation and driving to Bremen, Indiana then over to Sandusky for two days. Here's the question, and its for all the CP season ticket holders out there, WHICH day would be better?

I'll be in Bremen from the June 30th until July 2. Would the lines at CP be better on the 3rd (Tues), 4th (Wed), 5th (Thurs), or sixth (Fri)?

Thanks!

Yikes, the whole time slot there is a really busy time around the 4th. I'd bet that the 3rd or 5th would be the better days, possibly the 6th but Fridays/Saturdays are always busier. I'd try to aim for the 3rd!

Whatever you do, don't go on the fourth!! I can't believe CP still has the nerve to put in the Getaway Guide that the fourth is not very busy!!
I'd say go with the 3rd...
Not very busy, maybe, compared to Times Square on New Year's Eve...

id have to say the 4th isnt as busy as alot of saturdays from here on out.
and just curious, you gonna try us 6 all the way?
there isnt many towns, and no tolls, but not real fast,i am from warsaw(25 miles from bremen), and work right in nappanee on us 6(lol, work right down the road from cp)
but, if all goes as planned, ill be going to cp from open to 4 or so on the 2nd ,then flying out from cleveland to bwi to meet up with friends for a 3 day trip to pkd.

The "thing" about July Fourth is it really is a great day to go EARLY for riding...The crowd levels on the holiday are almost the exact opposite of any other day....Low to no crowd early...heavy crowd late. The "locals" and season pass holders come over to the park early in the evening for a few rides and the fireworks.
But Labor and Memorial Days are a toss up my friend went there once on Labor Day and he actually had to drive up and ask if they were open it was so empty!

What are you talking about? The fourth is probably one of the least crowded times in July.

I agree with Old Timer Tim when he said that It gets busy at night though. Even then it's not so bad. Mean Streak and Mine Ride were both walk ons only a half hour before the fire works.

I'd say go on the fourth. The lines are reasonable and the fireworks display is awesome.

The fourth, even though us employees would freak out and order 75 tons of food, is relatively quiet until about 5PM. Then all the people come in on twilight tickets and sit in the parking lots to watch the best fireworks show I have ever seen 4 years running! Put it this way, last season I can to work to open, and was there until about 3PM. Not that busy, when I left parking lot was about 3/8 full. I came back to the Point that evening about 6 to watch the fireworks... cars were backed up halfway down the causeway, the lot was full in the front, and back, and sides and there were cars in the grass! So the majority of people on the 4th stay at home (or in hotel rooms) til the evening, then come to the park for the fireworks!

My boyfriend and I have decided to hit the point at 11 a.m.- ish on the fourth and stay until closing then spend the night somewhere between Sandusky and Cleveland. We may go into Cleveland for lunch on the 5th, then hit the Point again in the evening.

Hey, if any of you are going to be around, let me know and I'll look for ya! ;o)
