Not sure if any of you saw this, but CP is now offering a $99 Summer Pass just for Cedar Point admission and free parking (does not include Halloweekends or CPShores). I never really saw it advertised. And no, this isn’t an April fools joke as far as I know
yes, I got that e-mail yesterday, a $99 Summer Pass. Upgrade to gold is $26 additional.

Here's the thing, this is the pass I have always said they should have. An inexpensive pass that gets you into the park for a summer of fun, but blocks out the insane days of Haunt. This is a great option for families who may have one member as a Gold Pass holder to include parking.
I like it.
If they raise the price of the gold pass permanently then yes.
Still haven't been able to uncross these circuits...

And really, they should be raising it waaay more. Essentially at this point they have valued a season of CP Shores, 8 weeks of Haunt season, and a season of parking at $26.
If the park truly priced themselves what they are worth, I think this type of structure would work:
New Summer Pass: $129 ($99-$109 specials for early renewals, Black Friday, etc)
Gold Pass: $219 ($189-$199 specials for early renewals, Black Friday, etc)
Platinum: $319 ($289-$299 specials for early renewals, Black Friday, etc)
This is the pass for people who missed the Gold Pass sale in September. Note that it expires just as the 2023 passes go on sale. My guess is that the 2023 Gold Pass will include HalloWeekends 2022, and when the 2023 summer pass goes on sale in the Spring of 2023, it will probably have the same price as the Gold Pass when it goes on sale in September. As to whether and how much that increases from this year, that will be determined by how successful the park is this summer, and what, if any, new capital is installed for 2023.
