$99 Platinum Pass Price?
A friend told me that she paid $99 for Platinum Passes this week. I said that is crazy, there is no way the park would sell them for that price. She said she knew someone who had season passes for Wildwater Kingdom last year and that Cedar Point offered the low Platinum price apparently to make up for the closing of Wildwater. She was allowed to buy X number of passes at that price. She said some other friends who had Wildwater passes also got the same offer.
Has anyone here heard of this?
That sounds like a load of horse crap. I have a WWK pass and I got no such offer.

I never heard that one. I do know that if you buy a single day ticket and you go to guest services at the end of the day. Tell them that you didn't have the best day ever and they will refund you for your ticket. That's how bad they want you to come back. Works really well if it rains that day.

I've been reading here for years. Never posted once... today I got an account because it's true and I'm pretty pissed!! I have a screen shot of the email. My niehbor sent it because I didn't believe it. I had Wild Water Kingdom passes for years. Upgraded to platinum a couple years back but talked two neighbors into getting WWK passes last year. Now they got passes for $$99. And I got the luxury of losing the value of them ( I live 15 mins away) and they got a huge discount. Good luck trying to complain. I have sent 3 emails to customer related email addresses and haven't gotten so much as a " We got your email and to bad" back. My family spends over $8000 a year at Cedar Fair Parks between stays at there property's , passes and parks and I think that sucks! I just got a new phone, as soon as I transfer all the content I will post the screen shot.
Nice thing to do for WWK customers to make up for the closing. Good for you Cedar Fair.

R.Tagg, by your own admission, it sounds like CF is already used to taking your money. If such an offer exists, it's not to shed pity on the poor WWK families, but more like a device to introduce them to the platinum pass. Once they're in the offer will never pass their way again. You're already in, so you don't qualify for the offer. Neither do I.
Yes. You are correct. And I will probably pay full price next year with a smile on my face. It just would have been nice to be included in that seeing as we had WWK passes from the beginning up until we upgraded a couple years ago. I guess I just wanted to vent....We have an 8y/o Asperburgers son who is a Cedar point junky and a 6 Y/o son who loves it as well so either way it is money well spent.
