8/30/14 Pass holder weekend

Is it typical for CP(or CF) to combine the last pass holder appreciation weekend along with Labor Day weekend? And adding a bring a friend discount? Even though I plan on going to enjoy night ERT, I plan on it being a madhouse. New strategy to bump up the already high attendance level?

Labor Day weekend isn't as crowded as you think. From my experience, the crowds are less than a summer Saturday.

Labor day itself last year was decent. We had planned to stay until about 5 bacause of it being a school night but that must be what everyone plans because around 5 it became a ghost town. From GateKeeper wecould see about 3 lines of cars in the parking lot so we decided to stay until close. We rode Millennium about 5 times in a row, at least 2 of them we got to walk right back on without leaving the platform. We're planning to have everything ready for school ahead of time this year and stay until close. Does this year's passholder appreciation include early entry for regular passholders again?

^ That I don't know for sure. The appreciation weekend earlier this year, only the platinum passes got early entry, (if I remember correctly). This is our first year having those, so it's still all new to me-but worth every penny for the upgrade. I'd like to see more give-aways, or deeper discounts on limited/ special edition apparel and merchandise. Most pass holders frequent regularly, and most times spend plenty $$ inside the park(at their choice). Its a appreciation weekend. ERT @ night is great too! This is our 12th visit coming up 8/30. Kinda hoping for a cooler day, with a chance of rain-to keep crowds down.

Keep passing the fun along!

I went last year on the Friday before Labor Day and was shocked how empty the park was.

So, even if it's Labor Day weekend, are you saying that September 1st might not be too busy?

Labor Day Monday will definitely be more crowded than the Friday before (29th), but probably less busy than Saturday or Sunday.

On Monday the crowds will likely thin out as the day goes on.

Ok, I was thinking going Sunday-Monday, and how long are the line usually for the Platinum ERT?

What do you predict the crowds like on this Sunday? Last year I went on Labor Day and it wasn't bad.
