$79 Season Passes ???

I was looking at some old info. on the CP website and saw that there was a period of time last Fall when they were selling 2002 Season Passes for $79. Do they do this every year? This is the first year we have bought Season Passes. We paid $89 at Tops. Just wondering if we can save another $10 next year...

If my memory serves me correctly, they usually do sell next years passes at a discount at the end of the season. They start selling them sometime in September through the end of the season in October.

I bought mine last season and for some reason I thought I paid $69, I could be wrong though. It may have been $79

James K., it was $79. Yes, the earlier you buy a season pass, the cheaper it is. I think that the 2002 passes were $79 in the Fall, $89 in the Winter, and $99 in the Spring/Summer.

Yes. $79. That is when I got mine at the end of last season. I also bought the season parking pass at that time for half price - only $25. Quite a bargain. Joe Cool was the same price though.

I got my Cedar Point/Soak City season pass for $129, parking pass for $25, and the Joe Cool Club membership was free. CP sent me an e-mail thru their "funtimes" newsletter, informing me of the sale. (last Sept.)

Just plan a trip to Worlds of Fun in Kansas City when they open a few weeks before Cedar Point does. You can get your season pass there, which will be good at Cedar Point, for only $60.

Of course, this is all assuming that a 1600 mile round trip is worth saving $30 to you. :o)

On the other hand, if you wanted to see another Cedar Fair park anyway, it might work out.
