67 rides at cp

Vitural midway had a story about cp, today!
( Top Thrill Dragster is one of 16 roller coasters at Cedar Point - home to more rides (67) and roller coasters than any other park in the universe) now I could have sworn, that top thrill dragster made 68 rides this summer! what ride is missing!
I thought they removed one of the thrill rides in ttd's way.. not sure though. i dont like the "spinning" rides so i really dont pay much attention.

The thrill ride that got removed was schwabinchen.

TTD launches 2 (first launch in front row, second in fourth row)
Yes they took schwabinchen out in 2002,made it 67!-then they added TTD 2003 that made it 68 rides! now the story is saying
67 rides,what ride is missing!
Dodgem 1 which the cars were moved to Michigans Adventure.

Eddy the retard is awesome.
schwabinchen was taken out during the off season, so therefore TTd just replaced it
Didn't WT replace the Dodgem 1 ? So what ride CP take Out?
Goodness, just go count them.

It's not war, famine, or pestilence; it's only downtime.

I consider it two rides. Up and Down are two totally different experiences.

Power Tower is considered two rides. They just happen to share the same tower. Each ride has its own queue.

But, yes, Cedar Point will lose a ride next year.

I've always been a bit surprised that the Swan Boats were installed at Cedar Point. The capacity of that ride is horrible, and the tour around the pond is pretty meager compared to, say, the swan boats at Great Escape.

That said, I'm glad I got to ride it at CP last year with the kiddos, and I'll enjoy riding it in the future at MiA.

Hmmm, thats odd, its obviously a sign of things to come. The question is now are the Antique Cars next on the chopping block? They can easily move wave swinger up to the Oceana Midway to make more room. Then thinking from the Halloweekends point of view it won't be a big deal to cut out Undertaker U because of Werewolf Canyon is right next door. There is an awful lot of real estate back there. That part of the park has been one of most neglected as well.

I don't know Dan.. a little coin had to be spent to put in a sprinkler system in the Undertaker U building.

I doubt they'd tear it down anytime soon...

The Pirate Ride, Frontier Carousel and Trabant are all examples of rides removed, but not removed to make room for something else. The Swan Boats never fit there. It was just too small and didn't work.

That doesn't mean that something isn't coming. Maybe even where it wouldn't be obvious.

Damn. No more Bumper Swans. :(

About damn time they give those boats the boot! Those things are a maintenance nightmare and are constantly being repaired. Hardly a day would go by without one of them being worked on.

With that said, that area in conjunction with the Antique Cars footprint would make a very sizeable plot of land for a very rather large roller coaster. A floorless looks more feasible with that amount of land, but I would prefer a flyer.

I'm a little disappointed that some of CP's rides are being moved to MiA. I definitely don't want the Frontier Town antique cars removed for a coaster. That's one of the areas of the park that has a themed ride that fits perfectly with the surroundings.

The entire atmosphere of Frontier Town would change if a coaster went in there. I think it would be an eyesore in what is one of the most charming areas of the park.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Man, how lucky is Michigan's Adventure to get the swan boats next year as their new attraction. Why did CF even buy this park...I think they were doing better without CF? So far it's just been a dumping grounds for old CP rides.
For the record the Antique Cars is my favorite of the three. The Turnpike Cars have a more entertaining track (and are *cooler*, as my three year old son would tell you) but the ambiance back in fronteir town is much better for that sort of thing.

The only ride I think would be good for that part of the park would be a small B&M Flyer like AIR. They could possibly put in a giant Huss ride back closer to Mean Streak, but in my opinion a flyer around where the cars are and over the lagoon would be the only thing that wouldn't ruin the atmosphere, just as long as they leave the trees.
