I was at the park today from 10:15 to 1:45.
When we got into the park, we headed straight for Maverick. When we got there, they weren't letting people in line because it was broken. We decided that we weren't going to wait so we went off and rode Skyhawk and Mean Streak, then we went back to Maverick. It was working so they let people in line. We had basically just got into the line in the WWL old loading platform, and it broke... again. About 20 minutes went by and they had sent a train with no people on it to test it. Then one or two trains went with people and guess what happened... it broke yet again! So we waited another 10 minutes and someone said over the speaker that Maverick was closed down due to technical difficulties.
So the whole point of this is... does anyone know what happened? And do you think it will be working tomorrow since I'm going again...?

There are kinks to work out. Thats pretty much all most of us know.

101 on Magnum and counting...
Yeah. When ever you have a new ride, it takes a while to make it run smoothly with no problems, right?

I just saw (5:00 PM) a train go by the web cam with people on it so it is running right now.
RIDE ON, and ON and ON and ON and ON and ON...
The only way you'll know if it's open or not tomorrow is to go and see.
Rides go up and down, it happens. Sorry that it happened to you.
Yeah, well we're going to Soak City tomorrow too (which will probably be very crowded since it's supposed to be hot). Then we are going to go into Cedar Point around like 3:00...
So I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Remember TTD? It's doing the same thing basically...different problems though, since it is a totally different roller coaster then TTD. It's a baby and it needs some TLC. They will get it up and running, you just need to be patient.
me and my brother were the first and second people in line that day. we got a quick ride and got right back in line and ended up waiting about 45 minutes getting to the bottom of the stairs only to eventually end up leaving the line cause it was down for so long. It took them like 30 minutes and about 20 empty trains to send the message that it would be down for a while. No idea what happened though.

I would put my money on it being something in the tunnel. It seems that everytime it goes down when I'm at the park, I see maintenance working in the tunnel.
Though I cant say for sure since I wasnt there today.:P
This should be expected anyway. It's a new coaster.....give it some time to work out the kinks. It's only been running for little over one month.

Rode maverick at least 6 times today, did not break down as long as i was in line, ran perfect, even on a hot humid day.
The one time I've been to the park this year they closed Mav a couple of times so they could take off a train and it looked like a maintenance guy was changing wheels. Each time they do this they close the line enterance for 10-15 mins while the trains are transferring. The ride then continues with 5 trains. Once the "fixed" train is put back on it gets one loop without riders, since it comes from the transfer not the station, then its back in rotation with riders.
I read over at coasterbuzz a while back that they were having to change wheels alot, can anyone else who goes to the park more often confirm this?
^^I naturally assume everyone expects the same things from Dragster. After all, there's no need for me to repeat myself.:)
