I have no clue, I am keeping my fingers crossed as much as you though. I am going on the 11th (starlight tickets) and then all day on the 12th. Both days are calling for rain. Thunderstorms on the 11th and showers on the 12th. I am hoping it changes as well. We will see.
the weather in Cleveland changes soo much. Dont even think about what the forecast says until Thursday night. I wouldnt even believe it then. Just watch the Dopplar Radar @ www.weather.com thats what I do every night before I go to CP :-)
I'm guessing no one on this site has access to their very own Doppler radar, (but I could be wrong) so I'd stick to watching the local news or using an internet weather site.

Well not very own, but I could get access to one if I so wanted ;)
Here is another link for a radar loop of the area.

i dont know what weather forcast you are looking at, but the one i use undergroundweather.com says it is suppose to be Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 50s and highs in the lower 70s. Sounds good to me! anyone know when physics day is this year? i went last year early in the season and the place was packed because of it. i just hope its not next monday :)
Weather.com says the following, as of this morning.....

Fri
May 09 Scattered T-Storms 68°/54°

Sun
May 11 T-Storms 70°/56°

Mon
May 12 Partly Cloudy 61°/54°

So good news for that Monday! Might just be skipping the starlight tickets if that storm holds up on Sunday though. However, I am sure it will change again because Tuesday and Wedsnesday both have rain scheduled.

i checked the weather for the sandusky area today and it said now that there will be a.m. thunderstorms. i think by the time friday actually rolls around it will be clear skies and a high of 76. but that is just my theory.

Let's hope your theory is right juppy, and it stays that way all weekend!
i'm crossing my fingers. three of my friends and i are going friday and we had this planned for quite some time. so i pray that the weather will change for the better.

I just checked and it is saying AM storms for Friday...which is a good thing, hopefully they will clear out before it gets too late! I'll keep my fingers crossed for Friday!

I am still keeping my fingers crossed for Sunday and Monday. (Monday mostly) weather.com just changed it back to 'some showers' for Monday. Not that SOME showers would be bad, of course, but it would be nice to have a dry day when it's not going to hit over 61 degrees.

If I want to find about weather, a good program is called Weatherbug. You can set it for a specific zip code. It has no spy ware but does have an occasional banner or two and only has a pop up when you exit the program and only once. I have found it is extremely reliable and very good. One of the really nice features is that it puts up the current temperature for the zip code you specified on the notification area (the part by the clock). If anyone wants it, the web address is www.weatherbug.com

Unless weatherbug has changed, it has spy ware. And you can't get them to stop spamming your e-mail box unless you write them a nasty letter........

I just use http://www.weatherunderground.com for a quick forecast for the next week

Just wanted to let you all know that this weekend starts the Music in the Parks Festivals for all band and choir students. The park (on sat) going to be full of kids from that for the next weekends. The only reason I know this is our schools are sending over 300 kids.

This may be off topic, but weather bug is definitely not spyware, go to their website and they explain it fully. Also, I've had it for about 6 months and haven't gotten one email from them. It's definitely worth downloading.

Friend 1 to me: What is with you and Cedar Point? You're obsessed.
Friend 2 to her: You have no idea.

Wonder if there will be lots of kids in the park on Monday? I remember when I used to go with band in High School, we always went on the weekdays. (can't remember if it was Mondays or Fridays though) Plus we always had to be out of the park by 6 p.m. (I think) However, we traveled from Columbus and had to be back by 9:30-10 for the buses to get back. Ah well, I don't see a few sets of schools making that big of a difference in wait times. When we would go with band, the waits were never long at all.
Don't know about Monday I know our kids don't have to be out of the park till 10 that is the case with a large number of the groups going. Mainly because they won't get to the park till noon or 1:30.
I am also crossing my fingers on this one. I am flying in next Thrusday and, God willing, will be at CP on Friday and Saturday. I've been waiting for an opportunity to go to CP since 2000 (to ride MF at that time), but my job's annual meetings were kept out of our headquarters in Dayton for the last 4-5 years. We are finally going to Dayton this year and I managed to take a few days off before the meeting next week.

This is the first time I will be at the park. Can any of you CP veterans tell me how strict does the park manages their rain/lightning policy regarding their rides? Do they stop them right away or do they let them run until it is too risky to continue?

Thanks a bunch.

They have a weather feed in the park operations office. They close the rides when the weather threatens the safety of riders. That could be when thunder is first heard, or if they see a storm moving in quickly they will shut rides down as a premptive measure for guests safety. All rides reopen as soon as it is safe.
