I don't think they were letting anyone in through the marina gate this morning for ert. I didn't bother going all the way there to check for sure. One guy who was sprinting there came walking back. Plus many others were coming from that direction.
I don't know how this little rumor got started (maybe Pete did it, lol), but it was just that. My wife and son got suckered by it to and turned around and went back to the main gate. I talked to the employees at the gate after the main rush had gone in, and was assured that the Marina gate, like every other gate, is a public gate. There are no restrictions as to who can use it.
HA!! That's what I get for following the "herd."
There was one woman telling people they weren't letting people in....that's when I turned around. I was about halfway there.
Glad it's not new policy. I'll use it next week when I go. I'll be sure to go all the way this time and see for myself.
Myself and a few others got turned away by a security guard Saturday morning as we attempted to get in line at the marina gate before early entry started at about 8:30. I was walking up from the main lot when I got stopped across from the Bay Harbor parking lot. He explained that there were "too many people" over there and that the "park had made a change of plans" and to get in line at the front gate. Meanwhile the shuttles continued to drop people off at the marina gate from the hotel. I was pretty annoyed, and by the time I got in the park I had essentially missed early entry. I too, talked to guest services later in the day who informed me that they were aware, that the guard was wrong, and they offered me an exit pass for my troubles. It wasn't a big deal, I would just chalk it up to being opening weekend and having new employees and enormous crowds. It's not a rumor though.

Well, if they were aware, it doesn't appear as if they got the guard notified of that by Sunday morning. lol
Even though we stayed at Breakers Saturday night I had no interest in attempting early entry Sunday morning. There were several times last season where the line for MF was quite a bit longer during early entry than it was at noon. I'm pretty much done with attempting arriving early anymore as it just doesn't seem to be worth the effort a large portion of the time.
The early entry line for MF was great on Sunday. And, for that matter, everything not named Valravn. lol I'm sure it won't last all season, but Valravn really took the pressure off most of the other rides on Sunday.
