the only way i can describe it is that after i got off, my hands were still shaking! they shook for a good 5-10 minutes!

"it's like eating in the kitchen of a delightful italian stereotype!"

i got there early enough (i.e. 7:00 AM) that i waited about 1.5 hours for Top Thrill Dragster. i heard later in the day it was up to 6 hours long though. Millennium Force still had a wait longer then i expected it would have (i expected 30-45 minutes, it was 1hr- 1.5hrs) everything else was about the same, wait wise.

Dragster: 1

I got there at the magnum entrace around 9 a.m. they let the joecool and resort people in then.. The wait was about 2 hours for us. Then we were told the line went all the way up to 5 hours as they were only running 3 trains with 12 seats on each. I got some EXCELLENT Mpegs. of some dragster action and can pass it along to anyone wishing to host. THis thing is beyond a coaster. It is absolutely crazy and nobody should complain about the length as my friends and I could have not taken anymore after that drop.. it was crazy....
I myself have not had the pleasure of being there today, nor will I get to at all this season due to the fact that I'm pregnant, but I have been obsessed with research on this ride since the 1st pieces of track arrived at the park last year. www.virtualmidway.com has some awesome footage, videos, pics, etc. of this incredible machine. Next year for sure!
coasterguy, I'd send you mail but your info is hidden. Contact me about hosting (see my info)

MF count: 54 TDD: 4

I was there and left at about 6:00. TTD had a four hour wait when I saw it, MF had about an hour. Maggie was between 15-30 minutes, Gemini only had the red trains running, it was longer than the 15 minutes posted at the entrance. I took some pics, they are nothing special. One thing I noticed that I have not heard before, they did add the sun screen in the TTD que. You can see them in the pictures.

Didn't think that this question was worthy of a new topic...

Now that the park is open, which is the best entrance to beat the crowds to TTD from... Is it better to wait at the Magnum entrance, or the Main Gate?

We arrived at 8:30 am. We entered at 9:00 am. We walked to Dragster.

When I arrived at the station, I took the time to view the ride. The VIP’s were loading up and I waited to see the launch in action before I got in line. All seemed to be running smoothly, until the coaster did not launch. Sure enough, a maintenance working came out carrying a portable car battery jumper!!! A quick jump and the coaster was ready to go!

The first few trains out barely crested the top hat. It was a really fun to try to determine if the coaster was going to make it over the hat. Luckily, or unluckily (I wanted a rollback!!), no rollbacks occurred today.

We got in line a little after 9:15 am and waited for right around 3 hours to ride. We made second seat. What a ride!

When you’re in the queue you know this thing is fast. The drag racing sounds are great. Too bad the Christmas tree wasn’t working and also the smoke from the tire burnout. The only negative I had with the ride was the annoying recording, “Arms down, arms down, arms down….etc…” Come on people, put your stupid arms down (isn’t it obvious after the phrase repeats 8 times???)!!! I guess this isn’t Dragster’s fault.

Once you strap in and the ride attendant forces the restraint down on your legs to the point where you are in pain, you’re ready to go. We crept out to the launch track. We waited, waited, waited, and waited. I took a look over at the hordes of people watching us and couldn’t help but feel important. I was one of the few! I was rider 5007 (according to the picture ;) ).

Finally, the fins retract and you’re off. I don’t remember anything except going up really fast towards the sky, getting a quick look at the lagoon, and twisting back down. After the ride I couldn’t help but scream and clap. My hands hurt like hell and tingled like crazy. I did it. I rode Dragster.

If I was going to rate this ride, it would be an easy 8 out of 10. To give you a comparison, I would give Millennium Force 9 out of 10.

This is one ride that is going to be popular for a long time. I can’t wait to ride it again! Go Green train!

Check out my Trip Report in the forum.

Drag Races: 1, Days Of Rocket Lag: 1

I got in at 9am, 1 hour ebfore the GP, and waited 3 hours for TTD.

IT WAS WORTH IT!!

I didn't hear anyone mention a thing about the air time on this ride. Does anyone have any comments about that?
All I can say about Airtime is... I cannot remember a thing after the launch.. BLUR>>>>> and lots of yellow on the way down.. hahaha it was nuts..
I waited 6 hours to ride TTD. Was it worth every second? YES!! Would I wait 6 hours again? NO!! That long of time is torture, and the way the last half of the line queue line is its like your in a cage. The ride itself could best be explained as a blur. I dont remember much, but going straight down was unbelievable. Everything happens so fast you only remember maybe 5 seconds of the ride. I am glad I waited 6 hours because i would be kicking myself right now if a hadn't.
I waited for 5 1/2 hours today for TTD and I must say it was worth it for a first ride. I was pretty disappointed though about the ride capacity. Only 3 trains was a killer. And half the time the 3rd train was completely used for assholes with wheelchairs faking injuries. If they don't go to all six trains or at least put all 5 cars on the trains the line will be hell all summer long.
My pics from the day, enjoy http://www.setecx.com/pics/cp5403/

Im a lurker....

Nice pictures you people are posting. I have a queation regarding the leg room inside the car. I have limited knee bend because of an accident I had earlier in life. To give an example, it just killed me to ride Millenium untill I realized that the center of the car has more leg room, so that by riding on the left my right leg wouldn't be jammed. I rode it three times on the right before I figured it out. I couldn't really tell untill I sat on the left by chance. Please tell me there's good leg room on the Dragster.
We arrived around 9:20 and waited a little over 4 hours for a front car ride. I could have kicked myself for not bringing a book(I forgot my Gameboy). The wait was torture! The first half of the line wasn't so bad because you got to watch the launches, but the second half was kind of claustrophobic with the boring tan colored fence blocking your view. The early launches were fascinating to watch because they absolutely crept over the tophat. I was convinced we were going to see a rollback in action(we did not). I also did not see the Christmas tree or the smoke effects working, but the sounds of the engine revving were definitely cool. I am just assuming that the ride operator has a button to press that says "Hands Down", I thought it was a great idea, too bad most folks just didn't get it(much wasted precious time).

When our train(green) crept forward just before the launch my friend said that there was no way he was going hands up.My teeth were chattering I was so scared. People on the midway were laughing and saying "Look at his face"! ;) The launch was absolutely INSANE. It was a real effort to get my hands up and keep them there. I could feel my cheeks flapping in the wind. Then we were up and cresting the tophat. From the ground it looks so slow by the time it reaches the top, but it sure seemed fast up there. I got a quick peek at Millie and then we were twisting. I was freaking out and yelling, but I kept my hands high up. This ride has redefined the word "handchopper"! The drop was amazing, and the brake run was as smooth as silk. I had drool all the way to my earlobes from screaming into the wind!

My onride photo is so hysterically funny that I would have paid a hundred dollars for it. The wind made the areas around my eyes huge and extra hollow looking and I look absolutely terrified. I literally look like a corpse! This pic makes my Flight of Fear pics pale in comparison(no easy task). My hands were shaking so much that I couldn't even sign my debit receipt, seriously! I was still shaking and had a tremble in my voice for at least the next half hour. Even if this ride were to travel in a straight line, it would be worth it all for that insanely intense launch!

I apologize for going on and on here, but I just got home and am still geeked about it. Now they just have to figure out how to run all those trains, capacity was a serious nightmare.
