5-1 most air?

I rode in the last row yesterday and at around 10:00p.m. it seemed liked we had so much air throughout the whole entire ride.  As we crested the hill I didn't touch the seat at all, I was like in shock at how I literally fell to earth (loose belt and bar, and only weighing 110lbs.).  The other three hills were also air filled, infact on the last bunny hop I didn't touch the seat until right before the car started to bank to the left.

My favorite seat is now 9-2, and seemed like it had so much more air than in the middle of the train.  Does anybody else feel this way?

"My favorite seat is now 9-2, "
I'm guessing you mean 5-1 considering this is what the topic is about. But no, I think towards the front of the train produces more air than the back.

No, I mean that car 9 row 2 is my favorite.  To me it seems like I had so much more back there than towards the middle.

9-2 is also my favorite because you get pulled over the hills, and thrown out of your seat.  Very Fun

So what the heck does 5-1 have to do with anything?

I understand what you're saying...  5-1 is SUPPOSED to be the best "air" position, but you feel that 9-2 is better....

I agree that 9-2 is a FANTASTIC ride (it's my favorite).  First hill is AWESOME and you don't touch the seat the first half of the way down...  However, the rest of the ride isn't as good IMHO.  I feel acceleration over the other hills, which "pushes" me back in my seat (actually, "little" air at all)

For air, I still like 4-2, 5-1 or 5-2.  I've found that many of my friends (that don't ride as frequently as I do) still like waiting for 1-1.  Neat view, but better ride further back IMHO.

That makes sense. If you're in the front or back of the train, the acceleration or deceleration would reduce floater air. The middle of the train wouldn't have this problem. So now I understand why 5-1 is supposed to give the best air!

DIPPIN DOTS!!!111 THEY ROXOR YUR WORLD!!1!
I did some research this morning at the Joe Cool ERT (what a GREAT deal that turned out to be!)  9 Millenium Force rides in 62 minutes (wish it was that way every day! -- great job crew having things "ready to go" the second we arrived!!!)

Rode on 1-1, 2-2, 3-2, 4-2, 5-1, 5-2, and several 9-2 (x3).  Rides were close enough together (about 7 min in-between) that I could remember the previous rides...

1-1 - great view, recommended for "first time" riders :-)

3-2 - my vote for best air (yes, I know that's not where designers say it should be)

9-2 - best "first hill" seat, hands down.... INCREDIBLE speed.  You leave your seat going over the top and won't touch it again until you're more than half way down (and for those also riding this morning, best "bug" seat too -- they're intercepted by everyone in front of you :-)

Hey, I heard a rumor that Millenium Force is sinking...

I absolutely love 9-2.  The first drop is just astounding.  However, my best rides are always in 1-1.  The front row is just a mind blowing ecperience.  I think 5-1 is a very nice middle ground.  Awesome air, but the view isn't as good as the front.  Not matter where you sit on the train though, you're bound to experience one heck of a ride! :)

At the turn of the Millennium, there were signs.
I also liked 1-1. The view going down the first drop is just jaw dropping. The back and 5-1 are great too

I have always thought that 1-1 gives the best airtime.  In my opinion, the front half of the train (from 1-1 to 5-1) is the best for airtime, and the back half of the train (5-1 to 9-2) is the best for intensity and of course the feeling of being pulled over the drops.  I include 5-1 in both the front and back halves because it has the perfect mix of great airtime and awesome intensity.  That is why it is such a good seat.
