412 ft. Millennium Force

i heard that Heide Park in Germany was supposed to get a 412 foot intiman giga(tera)coaster a lot like MF. this was supposed to be built a couple of years ago.

does anybody else know about this ride and why it never opened?

It probably got sized down to EGF, which looks amazing anyway. I wish I could get over there to ride that amazing mass of steel.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

I remember those reports as well. It somehow fell through. They have not gotten anything new since Colossos in 2001. *** Edited 9/9/2005 4:15:18 AM UTC by Magnum "Candy" Man*** *** Edited 9/9/2005 4:15:33 AM UTC by Magnum "Candy" Man***

Tera Coaster Confirmed

In a press release earlier this month Heide Park confirmed that they will be opening an Intamin Mega Coaster for the 2003 season. The ride's height is confirmed to be 412.5ft tall. This will make the ride over 100ft taller than Millennium Force and allow it surpass the 100mph mark - a first for a gravity propulsion ride. Tussaud's have announced that the Tera Coaster remains a firm part of their plans for the park after the recent acquisition.

Well I guess they don't keep promises.

"Ive got the need, the need for speed!"

It still wouldn't beat out TTD though!!

The whole thing sounded like B.S. when I first read about it on rcdb.com years ago.

The best rumor I heard was that a 400' Intamin hydraulic launched coaster would be built in the U.S.A. for 2003. I was able to put 2 and 2 together and get that it was ment for the footers behind a ugly white wall built in 2002 at a park I happened to visit on opening day.

It's hard to tell the difference between a rumor that has been passed along from an untraceable official source over the noise of thousands of rumors. Sometimes several rumors come together at the perfect time and become reasonable, most don't.

I've learned form experience that asking the right people the right questions can sometimes bear fruit. This goes doubly if you know what your talking about on the subject.

That 412-foot coaster was just a rumor. It was never confirmed. The blueprints that appeared on some Web sites were imagined -- much like the layout drawing of Top Thrill Dragster.

Cedarpointlover, that's from coasterforce. That's not a reliable source. Any Web site can say something is confirmed, but it's not really confirmed until an announcement.

1,146 rides on Raptor. Three rides in 2009.
