3rd Spike of Tower

If you look at the current web cam image of the tower, you will see that the third main spike (the one with no track attachments) is beginning to angle in towards the other spikes. This must mean that the tower is reaching its maximum height.

Of course, this could just be an optical illusion, but it seems like it is angled in.

I don't think the support leaning in means that the tower is reaching its max height. I think that the sections that are going next will be smaller in size than the previous ones. Like on MF

Keep in mind, at that angle that will still go a ways up before it meets the other two spikes...

Yes, it does appear the tower is shifting, however could it be the fact that we're looking through a "fisheye" lens?

yer right LiveEDavid. At that angle it looks like it will go quite a ways up until it reaches the other two towers. I wonder how much higher than 400 ft this thing will go. But the exact angle could be different then what we see since the angle of the webcam could possibly mess the view up a bit.

Fisheye lens. Remember the Wicked Twister cam last offseason? Space Spiral looked like it could be sinking/leaning. Same type of thing here.

I think it's just the lens. Go to the main web cam page and look at the smaller picture. The whole tower looks like it's leaning.

The Fast and the Fearless

Now that i look at the picture closer it looks like the entire tower is tilting.

I just saw some real interesting pictures shot today of the coaster...Two more catwalks are going up that is already in area 51 and their is one out in the parking lot...Also, their are some weird looking supports showing up and a piece of track for a hill where the connector is located in the bottom position...Also, on the down side of the tower the connector on the tower is in place and it is placed in an inward position and not an outward position like on Xcelerator...What is CP up to...???...Finally, the Spike is leaning foward so we aren't going crazy after all....

I don't think you can post other peoples information on this site so I sent you an e-mail..I'm quite sure many other pictures will be coming in tomorrow...

I would love to see where you saw those pics too! Will you send me an email with the address.

Anyway, I think that maybe the fisheye lens is to blame for the leaning, but, even if it actually is leaning, its not at a very steep angle, so it should go much higher anyway!
