3D Studio Max?

Does anyone know how to do any modeling in 3D Studio Max.  I just got the program and I really would like to be able to model rollercoasters in the future.  If anyone is willing to help, that would be great, but I'm not expecting too many responses.  No harm done if you close the topic Jeff.  Hopefully I didn't break any TOS.  Thanks!

There have been volumes written on the subject... I suggest buying a book. It takes tons of patience and practice. Just ask the Badnitrus guys.

Thank you both guys for your help and actually writing back.  Jeff, I have already talked Keith from Badnitrus and he offered me a little help.  Hopefully I'll be able to get it soon, but I undersand that it will take quite a while.  I do plan on buying a book on this thing and I do have so many tutorials I have downloaded already.  Hopefully my college studying doesn't suffer too much.  Thanks ;-)

I've used AutoCAD in the past, and I must say, to do 3-D solids the quality of the ones the BadNitrus guys do, it's going to take a LONG time. After working with it for a year, I still had trouble building my house (drawing the floor plans, electrical, ect.).

Jeff's right... patience is the key.

It'd be much easier to use some of the roller coaster games for the PC. Like Ultimate Ride (though I hate the tracks in outer space or with dino's running around) or Scream Machines. W/ Ultimate Ride, you can post them to the website and rate them. www.ultimateridegame.com www.screammachinesgame.com

This last page also mentions No Limits, which is more of a CAD looking app, but geared to making coasters (should be easier), and has sound. Also mentions one called Ultra Coaster 3D.
