Chris, my first year at Dragster we would always joke with someone working with us who needed to use the restroom that they didn't need to walk to the Matterhorn, that they just needed to step right outside the booth.

Yeah, I got lucky by checking the web cam right at that moment. Figured I'd have a little fun. And I think I heard somewhere that it was actually a group of coaster enthusiasts.

Amen Brotha! That and the MF seatbelt policy!!
I was bummed how the TTD turned out. I rode it once and thought it was awesome. But the Millinium Force is still my #1 in the park. besides the Gemini Jr.... hehe! But I hope they figure somehthing out with teh TTD- because otherwise that was just a HUGE waste of money...
Raquel + Cedar Point = one HELL of a time! :D
And also- don't be afraid of the drop. Enjoy that thrill and rush of being alive baby!
I don't know about everyone on here, but I know a lot of people who say TTD is their favorite ride. Of course these people don't compare to the amount who still love Raptor or MF and the people who went on one of TTD's dreadful downtime periods, but the GP seem to like it.
I know at least 5 different people who were terrified of roller coasters. They then went to Cedar Point for the first time, tried some of the rides, and got dragged on to TTD. They were all very nervous, but it ended up being their favorite ride due to it being short and fast.
Fact is, many people aren't crazy about airtime (makes them feel like they're going to fly out). The length of the ride makes a big difference as well. The longer the ride the longer the time they have to be scared out of their mind. Going up-side down is out of the question for some as well.
Why do people like TTD? First, who doesn't like driving a car and getting pushed into the back of the seat when you're accelerating. Unless you're in New Jersey, TTD offers the ultimate experience of this. People can never get enough of that. For those who are scared of heights, TTD's tower may be one of the tallest in the world, but it takes a few times of riding it to actually realize you are that high.
So, overlooking all the downtime, TTD performs quite well outside of the enthusiast world. I've seen some people say this around here. Come May 6 take some time out to watch people coming down the ramp of TTD's unload station. You'll notice that close to all of the them appear very happy. It might of took a few paragraphs, but I wanted to show that the GP's view on the ride is rather positive and is far from a waste of money. Rushed and overlooking many problems is a better word for it. *** Edited 3/31/2006 8:44:17 PM UTC by Gomez***

Except that the downtime IS part of the package. That's like looking at the Lions and saying, "Well, except for all of Millens decisions and the Ford family, the team performs quite well."
Dragster is a great thrill ride but a mediocre coaster at best.

Is there another TTD for the GP that runs perfectly?

Haha that just made my day. Being from michigan everyone knows that statement is true haha
Well, I'd rather have someone think it's mediocre than a complete loss.

Eleazar721, I know you're new here, so before someone gets a little crabby on you, I have to point out one thing. Postings things such as, LOL ... !! ... THNX, aren't accepted here. This forum prides itself on no junk (at least the mods try) and good grammar. Again, I'm just telling you this before the sarcasm starts.

Yeah, I saw 'lol' though, because well- I want to. But come on, does it really take that long of a time to type out one letter? Okay, maybe...three-with no 'X'. try it sometime, it does wonders for your grammer! :D But if you are new- then I guess it is okay...? Sure, why not.
... I think.
