I figured out what "Going in a whole new direction" means. In a recent interview with Bryan Edwards, this is what he said:
"This is a different ride experience," Edwards said. "We have been building taller and faster, and taller and faster doesn't always equal more fun, according to the guests," Edwards said. "We are going in a different direction. There are people who look at Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster and say, 'No Way.'"
That means that going in a whole new direction means taking a break from breaking records to build a medium sized halfway family-oriented coaster. Don't get me wrong, this coaster looks pretty intense, but pales in comparison to Millennium Force or Top Thrill Dragster.
EDIT:I hate grammar

Arguing with a coaster enthusiast is like wrestling with a pig in mud. After a while, you realize the pig enjoys it.
^Did T&T really expect us to figure that out? It's just another way of saying "Try to figure out what it is."

I actually agree with DJ, and Jugga (for once)
You guys are reading to much into this.
2+2 Prolly was refering to the construction that has been going on. You take out one Ride (WWL) + you see footers ( New ride) = Maverick.
We all should use a little common sense............
