2019 Cedar Point Positives

From an employee perspective, it was another great season interacting with all the guests who rode Power Tower, and the never ending inside jokes with my crew.

From a guest perspective, I enjoyed Magnum's tunnel effects, BackBeatQue, Hugo's and Forbidden Frontier. I may be the only one thinking this, but it was cool to me how much of Shoot the Rapids was reused for it.

I agreed, it was somewhat amusing - but also impressive - how they recycled the back basin of StR so well.

Enjoyed the Magnum tunnel 25 times last summer. Pretty cool.

BB Que spotty @ best. It's good when the brisket is fresh to be sure. Got too many cold (and yes they corrected it when I caught it) meals. Probably because they used reheat and didn't keep it hot.

Hugos is good when it's fresh. Pizza shelf life is measured in minutes (PM me to know why I know).

Coasters is best when busy. The food is hot and fresh. Ignore the tenders and get a burger/fries.

Road TTD a bunch of times, fun ride and each time it was a walk-up.

Gold Pass was a real help. I work the weekends so I can go on off-peak times.

Road the MF 20 times, no real issue with the wait.

Stayed @ the EL on Cleveland Rd 7 times. It was clean, value-priced, and well located. As I like to go out to my car for beer call, it was fortunately located.

I normally park by the Magnum entrance as there is less of a police presence (hey I drink beer in my car) and it is close to the water park.

There were the usual negatives like the food, but I know that going in.

Fun year, low key, and looking forward to 2020.

And as a fan and frequenter of Power Tower I thank you. You folks put up with alot and most of the time look like you are still managing to have a blast.

(Shot side rocks btw. It's what got me hooked. I'll ride it 2x as much as drop side)

You boneheads need to learn how to roll up the extension cord for the fluggegecheimen when you're done with it!

I agree with the comment about Forbidden Frontier. What an original, creative and entertaining attraction. I hope and presume it will stick around, though I’m not certain how exactly that will happen with the return of PWE next year.

Wouldn't they have to change up the story every year or so to make sure it stays entertaining?

They have a good template of how to keep the show lively by continuing to follow Knott's "Ghost Town Alive" lead. The best way I have of relating the progress Knott's has made is referring you to Westcoaster's yearly reviews.

These are fairly intense, photo-heavy reviews, but that is Westcoaster's style. But reading the reviews, you get a good feel for how Knott's keeps refreshing the show without needing to change significantly. I think CP can do a similar thing, even if they do not have the same continuity of actors Knott's benefits from.
