2018 Season Pass - Discounted 2017 Visits

I saw on the CP website maybe 7-10 days ago a reference to new 2018 passholders being able to buy 2017 passes at a price of $14.99 per ticket. In addition to the free 2017 day which is included with a new pass.

I don't see any reference to that anymore and am wondering if anyone else noticed it or has used it? We are going both this weekend and closing weekend and it would be a deal-maker for me to buy 2018 passes if in fact that benefit is still in place.

For those who may have used it, how does it work? Do you have to buy a single individual ticket each time you enter the park at the promo price?

I bit the bullet and called guest services. 2018 Platinum passes also include the benefit of buying tickets at the gate for any remaining operating day in 2017. Plus the free day in 2017, obviously. They must be purchased in-person and the platinum pass must be present. What I don't know is if it prints a paper ticket that anyone could then use.

I was hoping not to have to call them .... every time I do, I get someone who cannot (or doesn't care to) ENUNCIATE THEIR WORDS!!! It's really frustrating to keep asking them to repeat themselves and listen to them get frustrated. This time did not disappoint. Lazy, lazy people!

I was aware of the free admission for NEW buyers of season passes, but I wasn't aware of the $14.99 ticket perk. To be honest I haven't really paid close attention. Seems like a bad time to be giving away the gate so cheaply if they're already having huge crowds at this time of year anyway.
