Dvo, parking at Express Hotel is free. You only pay to park at CP when entering the parking lot, just like day guests do.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Why would someone stay at Express and not go to the park? That doesn't make any sense. You can only book it through the park website. That would just be taking up space of guests who would want to take advantage of the resort perks.

I understand... I foolishly misinterpreted an earlier comment. Thanks for clarifying though.

Actually, you can book it on Travelocity, as you can Castaway and Breakers. Probably other travel sites also. Why not use the hotel for other than CP? If you're in Sandusky for maybe a wedding or the Lake Erie islands or even business, it is a nice hotel. Much better than some of the other properties in Sandusky.

Pete is right on being able to book Express and the rest of the Cedar Point hotels through other travel sites like Priceline and Hotels.com. At the end of the day they are just hotels that happen to be owned by an amusement park. Plenty of people stay at them without ever stepping foot inside the park just as people stay at Kalahari and Great Wolf without using the water parks.

Pete’s right. And the costs of those CP perks are baked into the price of the room.
If someone Chooses not to ‘take advantage’ of the ‘perks’ to go spend even more money at CP, it’s no different than the vast majority of guests at hotels that choose not to utilize the workout room (except using the workout room is a lot cheaper than a day at CP).

During bike week, rooms are a hot commodity.
