2017 Ride and Attraction Anniversary Dates

Another off-season, another anniversary list for you to ponder. Rides/attractions celebrating a milestone this 2017. Hope you enjoy!

5th anniversary: Dinosaurs Alive, Luminosity stage

10th: Maverick rollercoaster

15th: Wicked Twister rollercoaster

20th: Midway Market restaurant

30th: Iron Dragon rollercoaster

40th: Witches Wheel, Bay Harbor restaurant

45th: Giant Wheel, Matterhorn

50th: Frontiertown (!), Cedar Downs (at CP location, was at Euclid Beach previously).

55th: Sky Ride (over the main midway)

60th: The causeway road to the park's MAIN toll gate (connected mainland to the CP peninsula).

Wow, time sure does fly!!

Though these rides/attractions are no longer with us, here are some others:

  • 25th: Challenge Park
  • 35th: White Water Landing
  • 45th: Jumbo Jet
  • 125th: Switchback Railway...and by extension, the beginning of CP's history of roller coasters.

That's not nice.

What's not nice about it,wasn't intended to be 'not nice'. Just a reminder of another anniversary. I've talked to him many times as he walked the park. 5 years is a long times,seems like just yesterday that a new CEO came in.
