2016 Season Pass Question

So, recently I won a contest that earned me a 2016 Cedar Point season pass. I'm extremely happy, as it will save me the $100 price tag for this coming season. My issue, though, is being able to get it processed. Because the award is the voucher won at the Valravn Preview center, I believe I must redeem it at the park itself. This isn't so much of an issue, because I can make it there, it's just a 6 hour (each way) drive inconvenience. My question, though, is this. With me being a Platinum Passholder this year, is it possible for me to redeem the pass using my existing passholder account? Thank you all in advance.

I would contact the park to confirm, but you should be able to renew as a downgrade from Platinum to Season, or pay the difference in pricing at that time for Platinum.

Am I able to do this without driving to the park? I mean, if I have to, I will, but if not, I would rather not. If I have to contact the park to find out, I will without an issue.

There may be contact information printed on the voucher. If not, there is a link on the Cedar Point website (https://www.cedarpoint.com/) in the bottom right corner for "Contact Us". On this page, you have the option to fill out the boxes to submit a help request. There is also a phone number on this page. Feel free to call it and ask the operator to speak with a Guest Services representative about redeeming your voucher. They will be glad to assist you.

Hi, I won a season pass today at Valravn. I took it down to the season pass processing center and renewed my daughters platinum pass by submitting my voucher and paying 65 dollars and change. see you in 2016.
