Here are some pics I took around the park yesterday at the Ride Warriors Christmas Party. Thoroughly enjoyed the event and was great to catch up with everyone. Big thanks to the Cedar Point Staff for giving up a Sunday to spend with us.

Nothing new was really shared but a few items of note:

The former Magnum photo building will become the new Ticket Booth. The bridge/tunnel will be removed and will be all at road grade similar to the Marina Entrance. There will only be 1 main entrance into Cedar Point Shores.
No news on the relocation of Ripcord
The RWC event was a much smaller event than Winter Chill Out. We had a nice tour of the park, lunch in the Lakeside Dinning Hall and a presentation and Q/A session in the Convention Center. Spent about 4 hours or so in the park.
There was work going on at the former Shoot the Rapids site. Mainly removal of concrete it appeared.

Nice pictures! No matter how many times I see them, pictures of Ripcord dismantled still get to me. I'm definitely excited to see what the future holds for the ride though

Same here. I know the new entrance'll look great but there was always something kinda special about that tunnel.
( I distinctly remember a couple years back, there was a very territorial blackbird occupying the bushes outside the tunnel who'd brazenly attack anyone exiting the park. Much ducking and running was had. )
Proud 5th Liner and CP fan since 1986.
