2016 All Season Souvenir Bottle

So I decided to buy the bottle and am quickly regretting my decision. Does anyone have any "alternatives" to buying lockers at every ride?

Hide it in the bushes, or behind a stand.

There really isn't a need to purchase a 2016 All Season Souvenir Bottle. I find them for free every time I go to the park! It's amazing how many you will find that people just toss behind a stand or I've even found them in bushes! Just look around. They can be had for freeee's!!!!

I don't know taking other people's bottle is the right answer. We have the drink bottle and it is a big and unnecessary hassle. We only bring it into the park when we don't ride rides without bins. Otherwise, we just leave it in the car or RV.

With today's technology, I'm still confused as to why Cedar Point cannot or will not add a drink plan to your pass like the dinning plan. They can add some restrictions so people don't abuse the system, but having to lug around a drink bottle is irritating.

A big, neon-colored plastic cup is an infinitely better advertisement than some intangible add-on to your pass, or in the case of those who don't have a season pass, a receipt or wristband.

Parks will often hand these out at ACE events. Mine gets delivered to the car ASAP. I'd rather buy an over-priced soda or two then deal with the hassle of dragging it around the park.

1) As djDaemon said, advertising.

2) Locker rentals.

We bought one because we are always with a stroller (or two). I'm pretty sure I'd not want to deal with the bottle if that weren't the case. I'd probably be willing to pay more than the price of the bottle for all season drinks if they'd just tie it to my pass and let me get a cup each time.

The all-season cup with free refills was very tempting. But the drawbacks of lugging it around and storing it came to mind. And since I refuse to rent lockers, I would be hiding it somewhere while riding and it could get stolen or tampered with. I would pay around $50 for an all-season drink plan that can be added to your season pass. Even if it was limited to only one drink per day, that's all I normally get.

Hey Thatbo, I can make this happen for you. I will gladly follow you around the park and hold your drink bottle while you ride for the low low cost of $50. On the days that you are not at the park, I will enthusiastically accept offers from other CP patrons that would like me to be their drink bitch.

Wow, there must be a lot of single people here on Pointbuzz!?!?! All you need is a non rider and there is your free souvenir cup holder at no cost. When I am at the park without my wife, I don't bring the cup. Even if my 9 year old coaster riding daughter is with me, but not the wife, the cup stays home. It's as easy as that.

Except that when its just my wife and I and we both want to ride. Who carries the cup? Not quite as easy as you make it. Put the drink plan on the season pass and it is just as easy as that.

They could tie it to the season pass, charge $50 instead of $26, and limit me to one "fill" per hour and I am almost sure I'd buy it. I'd like it if were $30 or $35, but realistically, I'd probably pay $50. I'd probably switch to all water for anything beyond that.

I too would also purchase a season long drink plan for $30-$50 if it were tied to my pass, even if drinks were limited to a 12oz once an hour I would be happy with that. I still hope that one day they allow us to use our dining plans for other park food options like funnel cakes or fro-yo instead of just entrees.

I did purchase the season long "free" refill bottle. Luckily most days I'm at the park I am with at least one person who doesn't mind waiting and holding the bottles. I also don't mind leaving it in the car and going to grab it when its time to eat. In between I usually just get a cup or two of ice water. Another factor in buying it is that its good at all CF parks. WWK is my waterpark of choice and It's perfectly fine to sit with your stuff at your deck chair, usually no locker needed at the waterpark.

When I was at Universal Studios the lockers were free for just a little longer than the ride queue they were next to that didn't allow bags/cups. I'd very much like to see cedar point go that route.

So, how does the convenience of not carrying around a cup all day compare with the environmental degradation of throwing away a cup several times a day times multiple visits? :)

Because if you degrade the environment you don't need a non-rider? ;) I've only bought the cup once because it was 99cents on closing day and when empty it fit in my cargo pocket. I just don't drink pop in the park though because I'm cheap so I don't have this problem.

How does the environmental impact of manufacturing millions of plastic souvenir bottles, requiring considerably more manufacturing and delivery resources, vast numbers of which will end up in landfills, compare to either?
