2011 Cedar Point Calendar

Inasmuchas King's Island and Kennywood, the two other parks I attend, have already posted their calendars for 2011, shouldn't Cedar Point be posting theirs soon?I know it's probably the same as last year with the date moving down by one day, but I'm still anxious to see an official confirmation. A sign that Spring is just around the corner, albeit a very long corner.

Cedar Fair is probably concentrating on getting their meeting with Q funding out of the way still. I know that it was mentioned already that Cedar Point opening day will be May 16th, which I believe is a Saturday like usual.

that saturday would be the 14th. The 16th is a monday which is the 3rd monday of the month. And a very long corner indeed :( I'm already tired of this weather

At today's ACE Holiday party, Robin Innes said it was 161 days until opening day. That makes it Saturday May 14th.

Do you guys think they will add another weekend on at the end of the season? This year the park closed on Halloween Weekend and the next couple weekends were in the 60's and some in in 70's. I know weather changes year from year, but if it is too bad they can just call it off like Kings Island did a few years ago. I think there is still time for them at the end of the season to make some money.

Don't they need that downtime to prep for Halloweekends? It's just amazing how gargantuan the whole thing has become over the years.

I just wish they wouldn't let their babies pee on me. ;)

Hm... I thought the 4th was the one always opened to 1.. now its the 3rd...

Cedar Points website also says that.

Wonder if they screwed up on that or they just want people to come on a Sunday then a Monday....

^ I suspect that probably means they're planning on doing their fireworks on the 3rd this year instead of the 4th. Most people will have the 4th off work and go back to work on the 5th.

Why is the letter R in the collum for thursday,in the calender?

You've never seen that before? If calendars are abbreviated with just 1 letter, R is abbreviated for Thursday because T is already used for Tuesday

And since 'TR' already stands for Trip Report... ;)
