There are two problems with the seat belts.
First and foremost there is an adjustment problem. That is something that can and will be fixed, but they have to run the rides with people on them for a while to get them set the way they need to be set. What would be nice would be if the retractor wouldn't lock until the belt is out far enough to fasten on an empty seat, but it may not be that simple.
Second, when I rode Blue Streak I searched all over the retractor for the "magic button" that releases the latch, and couldn't find one. The crew needs to have access to a toggle to release the retractor 'on the fly'. That would solve the other 40% of the belt problems they're having.
But the seat belt issues are not an insurmountable problem. Get past those, and Blue Streak is actually running pretty well this season.

I defintely need some explaination here. MF is among, if not the best in the world. I've never ridden Superman RoS (which Millie wrestles with yearly for the Golden Ticket award), but I can't imagine it being much better. I've YouTubed it, it looks fun but doesn't thrill me like Millie does. Yes, anyone who can play a pentatonic scale on a vibraphone could've made the queue music, but what part of the ride is boring? Sorry there're no inversions, but the first drop alone is above and beyond anything I've ridden thus far. I love Maggie and Raptor. I was there opening season on both. When they're well maintained and give a smooth ride, I can see why they're in the running, but four better rides in the park? I count 2, aforementioned. I'd better pull out my Getaway Guide map, when it finally effen gets here.
I rode Blue Streak tonight and the ride was very, very smooth and fast. The track is in great shape and the ride is running excellent.
The train modifications don't really affect the ride and I could not care less about the type of brakes on the ride. Matter of fact, why have someone pull a big heavy lever when you can have a computer do all the work. Isn't that what computers are for?
I really think some people have forgotten how to have fun, they are too caught up in criticizing and nitpicking about everything.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
In no particular order...
Magnum, Gemini, Blue Streak and Wildcat are all more interesting rides than Millennium Force.
Magnum, Gemini and Blue Streak all have the airtime that Millennium Force lacks.
Gemini has the visual effects that are missing from everything else.
Last time I rode Blue Streak I almost had a "Fabio moment" on the turnaround. It doesn't get much more exciting than that! :)
And of course if you're looking for superlatives, you realize that Wildcat has the highest g-forces of any ride in the park.

Millennium Force might not have true "air time", in the sense of ejecting negative gees, but it does have two nice spots of what I would call "float time", cresting the third hill and then again coming back.
My personal ranking of my top five at the Point would be:
1. Maverick and Millenium Force, tied.
3. Blue Streak
4. Magnum
5. Raptor
(In case you're wondering, I place TTD somewhere around #11 or 12.)
