I wouldn't say it's racist or stereotypical, but I would say it's incomplete. It's true that folks of different races do often have slightly different body types. For example, people who hail from different regions of Asia tend to be shorter on average.
If you're going to mention that black folks have a hard time fitting in the seat thanks to thicker midsections, don't forget to mention the white guys with the beer bellies. Don't just single out one group- include everybody.
Though, I would like to see the statistics on which you drew your conclusion that a statistically signifigant number of black folks have this "junk in the trunk" thing going on.
I dunno. I've never heard someone say "cracker-booty". Just looking at people, black women have a tendency to carry more weight behind than would a white woman of similar weight, who tend to carry it more evenly distributed. Its not racist to call out inherent differences in the races.

Of course, there are probably better ways to make that point, as opposed to saying "junk in the trunk".

After 8 rides in a row yesterday, there's definately some variance between seats, but it's not huge. It was kind of frusterating to fit fine in one seat and struggle on another. The new seats in the back of the yellow train were probably the biggest problem, although I did find another problem near the front of the red train. Something with the new seats just feels different. I guess it's just because they haven't had a chance to break in yet.
PS- The crew was doing great yesterday. I think in a little over an hour I only saw one time where they missed interval. Huge improvement over the last two years.
