2004 prices

Did anyone else check the prices for next year? If you didn't, here's the scoop:

Parking: $8.00

Park admission: $43.95

Kids: $24.95

under 2: Free

Military: $32.95

Starlight/Bonus/Halloweekends: $24.95

Season Pass: $99.95

Combo Pass: $149.95

Junior Season: $60

Junior Combo: $85

Joe Cool: $15

Parking Pass: $65

The changes I see are the season pass is almost 100 dollars! not to mention parking is 5 bucks more... I like the fact that parking and entry are the same... But hey, the cost of employment and stuff went up, so I can't blame CP for inflation, it's our economy...

I'm pretty sure season passes have been that price for the last two or three years. Before that, they were actually more. They were $110 I believe. You get them cheaper by ordering early (either $85 or $89.95), but it's too late for that now. Also, last year, you were able to get season passes from Tops for $89 all season.

I'm actually somewhat glad that CP's season passes are priced a little higher. Not only is the park worth a lot more than a $49 season pass, but it also helps to keep people from using the park as cheap babysitting - a problem that seems to be occuring at several other parks with cheap season passes.

I think the two-day Ride and Slides went up a bit more this year, but you can usually get a few bucks off of them at either Meijer or Tops, or by staying in one of CP's hotels. I guess that leaves the single biggest change as the elimination of the senior discount.

I wouldn't suggest getting the two day ride and slide at Meijer's. I had quite a few guests come up to me this past season and only had day one slide and day two ride instead of both a ride and slide part for each day. I don't know if it was the Meijer's in town, or a different one (I remember one guest getting them from out of town), but just check to see that you're getting two parts for each day if you buy them elsewhere.

Season passes have been right around $99 for as long as I can remember. The last time I got one, I was a senior in high school, and that's how much I paid. If you bought your early, before January 16th I think it was, you could get it for $89. Parking passes were also discounted at the time I bought my season pass, they were $55 and not $65.

I wish I could come back for another season...:(

Just as an FYI, parking at the booth last year was $8.00. Gotta love those parking passes!

Awww, bad day? Take a different perspective on things. Try upside down, a barrel roll, a cobra roll or a corkscrew. Life can't be all that bad when your feet are over your head!

I think it's awful that they eliminated the senior citizen rate..
I dunno... I've seen a lot of older people riding every single ride normal people ride, so why shouldn't they have to pay just as much as a person that has 5 children? I'm fully aware of the whole 'retirement' thing, but I guess I don't see why businesses foot the bill for other people aging... Does the military discount count for those who WERE in the military but are not any longer? If so that's great... honor the people that've fought for our freedom. I applaud that fully.

I agree with Matt on the "cheap babysitting." SFWOA is the babysitter for the east side of Cleveland.

Pre-sale season passes were always a little cheaper, but I agree that the "normal" price was indeed over $100, I think even back in 1998 when I first bought one. I say keep it high. Dan's right, we don't need Six Flags Child Care.

Season pass prices through the years:

1994 - $74.95
1995 - $79.95
1996 - $85.95
1997 - $89.95
1998 - $94.95
1999 - $99.95
2000 - $110.00
2001 - $110.00
2002 - $99.00
2003 - $99.00

So, yes, they were over $100 for a couple of years.
