2003 Attendance

I was just curious as to how many people Cedar Point had in the park all together for the year and the most they had in one day. An estimate would be perfect. Thank you.

What about single day attendance, wasn't that somewhere near 60,000 people, or was it something completely different...

What time does the water show start?

I remember hearing about one very nice October Saturday where everything was at capacity. Was that the busiest day of the year, or did it just seem like it since they were not prepared for those kinds of numbers since it was so late in the season?

I remember reading about the day in October last year. It was a Halloweekend Saturday and the article I read said that the park had around 55,000 visitors that day. It also said that this was a new single day attendence record. I also remember reading an article about the day the power went out on the entire east coast. I believe it said on that day their were about 20,000 to 25,000 people in the park when the power went out, so 60,000 people in a single day may not be out of the question for next season.

I was there on that Saturday in October and it was nuckin' futs. I heard later that it was the biggest day in 3 years. Not sure if that was true or not, but I've never seen the park that busy!

Yeah, I was there on that day to and that was just insane. There were long lines for everything, including the food stands. I remember trying to move from MF to Raptor and being trapped in a sea of people. I had never seen it that busy before.

Only 4 days till opening day!!

I was also there that day. Sometimes my friend and I were just stuck in a crowd just standing there because people were EVERYWHERE! The line for Dragster was huge but right next to it Corkscrew was a walk-on.

Keep in mind and I know it might be hard to beleive but most of the attendance records were made in the late 1980s.

1989, the year Magnum opened was just crazy. I don't know if the entire year total attendance is a record, but on some days the Gemini midway was so crowded it felt like you were on a crowded bus with nowhere to move.
