For those of you who won't be getting a season pass next year I just want to mention that a "Funday" admission will be $39.

HAHAHA. HAHAHA. I cant stop laughing. I know there is always some person in the park who paid $38 to get in (Now $39) when I payed nothing. I get a SP and parking pass every year for my B-Day. Is that the best present you could get or what. Well actually a Magnum in my back yard would be better. I dont get people who dont buy season passes. I mean they were for $80 so if you go just twice you win. You need to go at least twice a year to get the whole experieince. I think anyone who lives closer to CP than Me (Cleveland) and dose not have a SP is insane. . I worked in Elyria, (Toys R US) about 25-30 minutes from the point and NO ONE their had a season pass but me. I know A guy who went like 3 times too. The only reason not to get a SP is if you live far away, somehow get lots and lots of free tickets, or you work there.

Whats life if you never get to the point more than 10 times a year?

Shoot I know there's a lot of us representing Pittsburgh, PA who've had season passes over the years! You don't need to live close to merit getting one, hehe.

(of course, I haven't needed one for a couple years now...)

Man...Pretty soon, we are going to be paying Universal Studios/Disneyworld prices.
When you live in Chicago and only visit Cedar Point once yearly, you don't get a season pass. (Nothing against season passes. For 2000, the four of us went to Six Flags Ohio and got those nice cheap season passes, and used them the rest of the summer up at Great America.)
GeminiDream, why is that funny? Like slithernoggin said, some people live too far away or don't know of they will go enough times a year to make it worth the season pass.
At the bottom of my post I said one of the reasons not to get a season pass is if you live to far away. I dont think most poeple pay that much anyway through AAA tickets, group sale's, and Pepsi can's. Even Cedar Point themselfs sent me cupons this year for $10 off. I just know there is always going to be someone in the park who payed this amount of money get in. Most people who go to the park live close anyway and these people who dont get a pass I am ridiculing. If you live far away and only go once or twice than you are pretty smart not to get a pass. In fact you would have spent less noney than me, (well actually my family) to enjoy Cedar Point in that year. I was lauging at the General population at Cedar Point who live close and do pay this money. Dont forget you get into other parks, like Dorney, So at one time for $80 you could own 4 out of the top 5 steel coasters (according to amusment golden ticket thing which i forgot it name) Magnum, MF, Steel Force, Raptor. And this year there is Talon too so its looks like off to Allentown I go. So if you live far away and only go to Cedar Point 1 time a year than I am sorry if you thought i was laughing at you, i was not. If you are not the greatest fan of coasters and only want to go once a year, then thats fine too. I went 16 times this year so with the parking pass thats about $6 a visit. One last thing is familys. They will pay a good sum of money for just a day for themselfs at CP and I feel bad about the admmision price then. CP was once was a family park where the whole family could go and aford a great vacation at a fair price. Now thats not true and it is one sad thing that CP has turned into.
