2 night stay Breakers October

I went into the reservation system to book a room at hotel Breakers for Halloweekends. You can't stay one night in October. You have to stay a 2 night minimum. I found this sort of odd. I don't want to spend $450 plus on one weekend there. They never did this before except over Fourth of July weekends.

Why would that be odd? Newly renovated hotel receiving stellar reviews, extremely popular Halloween event -- a minimum stay sounds like a smart move to me.

Demand is high and supply is low. They made the business decision to reserve rooms for guests with longer stays, who are likely to be more profitable.

Yes there is a minimum stay requirement but if you wait until a few days before your trip you might be able to book a one night stay since they are trying to fill rooms. I was in the same boat as you had over 4 th of July and I sucessfully was able to book a one night stay the day before I was scheduled to leave. Because they were filling rooms. If the breakers never opened I would have stayed at sandcastle because that has no stay requirement.

I spend about $1000. a year on rooms at the Breakers. I prefer to go on 4 separate occasions May-October. I already booked my one night stay in September. I was just letting people know that you may not be able to acquire a one night stay in October this year. I'm wondering what they will do next year, and if this 2 night minimum is going to be extended during next summer.
