2 More Months

I remember it seems like just yesterday I was saying 6 more months. Well since we are getting alittle close to opening day what are you missing the most about the park? Whick ride or food. Or is it just the whole atmosphere. I would have to say I miss walking down the main midway early in the morning and seeing all the great coasters standing there waiting for another great day of rides. *** This post was edited by Nick G. on 2/27/2001. ***

Wow, only 2 months!? This winter has gone FAST for me! I guess it is because i have not been around the boards lately. So i'm not really thinking about Cedar Point, so time goes faster. ;)

the thing i miss most about CP is of course the rides.

But other people go to CP for reasons other than rides/attractions.

When I went to CP last august, I had the chance to speak to an elderly man on the Cp & LE Railroad. He started conversation about MF. So I was talking away, telling him how Id been on it 5 times bla bla bla
when he said he flew from england to come to CP to ride the train. He was explaining how he loved crowds so much. And how he found it interesting talking to people from all around the world.
He simply enjoys talking to people!

Kinda cool, knowing that eh?

That's a fairly unique story, Canadian Guy. I miss MF. Ha ha when I get bored and I'm listening to music I try to fit the song with the MF POV so that the most dramatic parts of the song are with the best parts of MF. Ah, 67 more days, EH? ;)

I remember one year when my mother (hates rides, won't go on anything BUT the train) spent an hour talking to a woman from India. They had an entire conversation, but she didn't speak English, and my mother doesn't speak Hindi! Sheesh.

I miss just being on the Midway, looking around and walking around and knowing every inch of it, knowing you're a part of it.

My cousin called me one day, a work day no less... and told me some family friends of her were in from South Africa and they wanted me to come up and be thier tour guides.. I don't know if I wanted it more or them...

But I ended up comming up there.. talking the sisters onto MF (rides #158 and 159 to be precises) and giving them every fact I knew about CP along the way.

End of trip, I guess they spent a LONG time on teh way back to Toledo thanking her and talking about me and my knowledge of CP and the mahor difference between Chili fries from Mr. Potato and South Africa.

ALl in all... I had a great day and still hope for another time for them to come and visit so I can spend a little more quality time with the one daughter.. ok.. that was probably uncalled for...

I'm getting really bad with this offseason thing. I find myself looking for a really hilly road, so i can get a little bit of airtime

Ha ha, 300FTMONSTER me too. It seems that I try to incorporate Cedar Point or Millennium Force into every discussion that has come up. My friends are getting annoyed by it. I don't know if I can take this offseason for much longer.

I leave in less then two months for Cedar Point, from sunny Florida. I really am excited about this summer, i am now even more excited because all of you out there are posting great things about CP. That really makes me glad to be a part of the great Cedar Point Family. I will try my very best and give 200% everyday and everynight so that you all can feel that Cedar Point is the best Amusement Park in the World. Look forward to meeting you all, say hello....
I will most likely be one of the only redheads on Raptor.

MORE WINTER!!! PLEASE! I can't believe ski season is almost over! Skiing is natures amusement park. 300 ft drop? pguhh.....try 2000 ft drop..that's a REAL drop. I guess Cedar Point will at least give me something to do during the summer (my off season) while I wait for skiing... :-)

CP or bust. I'm with you guys. We've got opening weekend planed already. I miss the rides, sounds, and smell. It's hard to get it out of your head. We go for everything, not just the rides. The beach is awesome, the entertainment is great, and I love the food. We are looking forward to the first Summer Spectacular show. My kids kept measuring themselves all winter so they can see if they are making progress. I'm happy to say my second daughter has reached the level to feel the Force this year. Just a little while longer....

Hey does anyone know when they start putting cars and trains back on the rides?
