2 miles and 10 inversions

How about it? CP loves breaking records. Assuming they're not going this route in 2002, why not a double whammy of 10,560 feet of track and 10 times upside down. I don't think they've made an assault in this area yet. Perhaps a first; A cobra roll and batwing (boomerang) in the same ride.

Ten inversions is already going to be beat by that Intamin looper under construction in Europe (I forget where).

The ride is being built at Thorpe Park in Surrey, England. Most people are referring to it as "Atlantis" or "Odyssey" although the actual name has yet to be announced.

MF Reaction::: F*****G Excellent.

I thought the wooden racer at SF:MM was called Colossus?  Is it couth to name two coasters not of the same style the same name?

I'm working on it, Jeeze!!
It is if your name is Six Flags (Viper) or Paramount (Vortex)!

Yes, but the rides from P and SF are EXTREMELY similar. Why name an old wooden and a new steely the same thing?
Fine, another example.

Medusa at SFGAdv and SFMW are B&M Floorless'es.

Medusa at SF Mexico is a CCI woodie.

Doesn't sound "extremely similar" to me.

Unfortunately Wade, not all corporations out there are extremely original in their naming.  However in defense of a few, sometimes perhaps they just like the name.

"Chetto panelview"

Six Flags has a wooden Viper, and several different styles of steel looping Vipers.
All right....How about an even dozen?
