2-day tickets

My wife and I will be up from Texas during the last week of May to make our visit to the Point and are planning on 2 days at the park. The $59 Ride & Slide pass is what we need, right? It's just got me thrown off this year because it says "Admission to both Cedar Point and Soak City on two days." and I'm used to the Ride & Ride Again or whatever it used to be called. The Getaway Guide had something in there that also threw me off when it said something like "Both passes must be used in both parks on the same 2 days."

Anyhow, I'm just making sure that the Ride & Slide is what I'm after.

Also, do any of you guys know how long it takes for the passes to arrive when you order off the CP site?

From what I can tell, there is no Ride and Ride Again this year, it was replaced by the Ride & Slide two day pass. So, yes, IMHO, the Ride & Slide is what you need.

Unless you start first thing in the morning.

What I think they mean by "Both passes must be used in both parks on the same 2 days" is you have to use them on consecutive days. You can't go to CP one day, Soak City the next, then CP the day after, then Soak City sometime next month.

Heres the lowdown folks cause I love ya like that

When you buy the Ride and Slide (yes it does replace ride and ride again) You will be given a total of 4 tickets! What there telling you is that you must use 2 of the 4 tickets labeled Day 1 on the same day! (1 for park and 1 for Soak City), then the remaining 2 tics labeled Day 2 (1 for park and 1 for Soak City) must be used on the same day too but it does not have to be consecutively after Day 1..Confused yet...could be few days later or few weeks!

Clear as mud! Concise, but not to the point! lol

I think I've got it. :) Basically, that's what I need to buy.

But what about my second question? How long does it take for passes to arrive if you buy them off of the site? If I ordered today or tomorrow, would I have them here before I leave on May 18th?

I've never ordered passes from the website but they most definitely will be there before May 18!

I figured as much. I just wanted to make sure, though. It'd really hurt to drop 120 bucks and then have to leave before they showed up! haha

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the new Ride & Slide two day pass cheaper than the old Ride & Ride again pass? I seem to recall them being $63 or so last year. Either way, they're throwing in Soak City now so it is a tremendous deal! I suspect they're trying to get people to spend that extra day (duh). In the past, the Getaway Guide has had a coupon for $$ off these types of tickets. If its still there, that makes this an even better deal!

This is about as close as you're ever going to get to seeing Soak City included with Admission. Two days at both parks is now cheaper than one day at each! I know what I'd be buying if I was a family of 4 on vacation! :)

I was thinking that this is cheaper myself. And, no, they don't have coupons for this in the Getaway Guide anymore. I guess they feel they've given you enough of a discount that you don't need anymore.

I'd just buy them at the gate 1badgmc..why take chances and they are the same prices!!! Plus any coupons fro mthe GAG can be used too...

Too late, Jeffrey! I just ordered them. They said 7-10 days on the order page, so I should be all good. Besides, I hate waiting in lines before I get into the park. I can deal with lines when I'm queued up for a ride! :p

Didnt the season pass drop down this year? 99 seems awful reasonable actually Cedar Fairs other parks are more expensive as in season pass wise.

I picked up a Knott's Berry Farm pass for $49.95 when I was out there at the end of last year(they had the adult passes on sale for the kids price)... I was able to delay activating it until April when I was out in California again(I live in Michigan). I should get 3 visits to Cedar Point with it this year plus a visit to Michigan's Adventure and several more trips to Knott's when I'm out there during the next year :) mmmmmmmmmm Xcelerator

Season passes are still $89 at AAA. You other folks who don't have them (or tickets) yet might want to consider that as an option if you plan on going twice or more.
I'm guessing that you have to be a member of AAA to get a pass at the $89 price? Or is there some sort of location to pick one up at?

At the end of the "Feel The Fun" commercial it said on the bottom of the screen that season passes are available at Tops for $89

Aren't the season passes at AAA and Tops pretty much local? I'm not familiar with Tops in Michigan.

Tops is a grocery store based in western NY, but they also have a strong Cleveland area presence. That includes a store in Sandusky. I'm not sure how many Tops stores are participating in the deal.
