2 Day Ride and Slide Tickets

Hi, there!

I have been lurking around this site learning all kinds of terrrific info for a few weeks now. I am planning my family's first trip to CP at the end of this week!! I think I have my ticket options all figured out but I wanted to have you 'experts' clarify things for me before we arrive.

The 2 day ride and slide ticket has two parts. Day One, Cedar Point and Soak City AND THEN Day Two, Cedar Point and Soak City. If you don't use the CP and SC of Day One on the same day you must pay an extra $10 when using it. SO.... Can this be done?

  • Sunday - Use Day One CP
  • Monday - Use Day One SC (pay extra $10)
  • Tuesday - Use Day Two CP
  • Wednesday - Use Day Two SC (pay extra $10)

So for $62 (Hotel guest price) plus the extra $20 for a total of $80 per person we could get 4 days out of that one ticket?

And as a completely different and weird question can you use Day Two's of the ride and slide first and then give the Day One's to someone else to use say a month later? (I was thinking about giving some admission tickets to family as gifts - the Day One looks nicer!)

Thanks for any help you can give me!!

Sharon

As far as i can remember you dont have to pay the extra $10 when using it on a different day, but it might of changed.

Different people can use the two days; I buy the ride-n-slides when I bring friends to the park for day trips. As I have a combo pass, this lets us go back and forth between the two parks if we like, and it's no more expensive than buying AAA discount tickets, but the water park is "free". The only downside is that I have to make two trips to the park, but that's not so bad.

I haven't tried using day-Xs on different days, but I presume you could. I'm pretty sure they would charge you, though---I think the turnsitles know whether the cedar point half has been used on some different day. *** Edited 6/22/2004 3:26:57 PM UTC by Brian Noble***

Where are you from? If you have another Cedar Fair park close to you, you might want to consider a season pass (or a season pass from another Cedar Fair park if it's cheaper).

sj1252, just so you know, do not use day two before day one. If you do, day one will become void and you will lose it without a refund. I work the front desk at Camper Village and I am required to notify guests of this anytime they they purchase a ride and slide ticket.

I have a quick question that kinda goes with what Jeff said about season passes. Are other CF passes (particularly Michigan Adventure passes) good for both CP and Soak City? I know they work for the park, just not sure if they'll get me into Soak City like it does at Michigan Adventure.

Thanks,
John

No, Soak City requires either admission on-site or a CP Combo Pass. Geauga Lake passes are not good at other Cedar Fair parks.

You can also get in with season passes from the California water parks and Oceans of Fun season pass, I believe.

Wow! Thanks for all the quick replies!

We live outside Philadelphia so we are near Dorney Park - but we are not fans of that park and wouldn't go to any others this year - so Season Passes are not worth the money for us.

THANK YOU!!!! so much Scott Cameron! I was thinking about using the second day first (so I could give my neice and nephew the Day One tickets). I am so glad you told me that - that could have been ugly!

Nobody has said that you can't stretch that Ride and Slide into 4 days though - RIGHT? That is my main concern now.

Thanks everyone!

Sharon

I was allowed into Soak City using my Michigan's Adventure season pass 2 years ago. They read the back of it and it mentioned the "water park", so they figured it was good for SC, too. I thought (at the time) that it would admit me.

Bet that wouldn't happen again today. Back then MiAdv was new to Cedar Fair.

sj1252, you could stretch a ride and slide into a four-day ticket, but it will cost you extra and it won't be both parks for four days. You'd have to go to CP one day, SC the next, etc.

In relation to giving a ticket to your niece and nephew, just give them day two. The ride and slide tickets do not have to be used on consecutive days, so you could use day one and give day two to your family members to use any day later in the season.
