I have seen no reports of any deaths at Cedar Point. Now there is a story as before mentioned about the Stagecoach in the 60s, and years and years ago a woman and her husband or boyfriend (or so the story goes and I may be getting it wrong or it is rumored) jumped off a balcony of the Hotel Breakers, thus killing themselves. Legend has it the guy now haunts the balcony, and any young girl standing close enough might feel a force thrying to pull them down.
I found a ride related death. In 1918 a man was thrown from the Leap the Dips roller coaster (after some heavy drinking) and died on the way to the mainland hospital.
Things could have been worse though. Earlier that summer a lion got loose from a visiting performing troupe and was seen walking down the midways.
Both incidents were mentioned in "Cedar Point - The Queen of American Watering Places". My son and I are reading it and just saw that this evening.
