I'm trying to narrow down the date of this brochure. It has the Centennial Theater listed, which opened in 1970. It also lists the Bluegrass Amphitheatre. Walt has a 1976 Park guide that shows the Bluegrass Amphitheatre located next to the Frontier Lift Station where Skyhawk now resides. It eventualy was renamed the Frontier Theatre. I have a 1978 Park Guide that shows it called the Frontier Theatre.
So I currently have it narrowed down to sometime between 1970 and 1977. Any help would be appretiated. Thanks :)

This is just a guess on my part, but I would think there would be some mention of the Cedar Point Cinema if that was around. I also think that if it was 1970, it would probably mention the Centennial Theatre being new. I think you're looking at 1971-1974. If I had to guess from there, I'd say 1974 just based on the logo (with "Amusement Land") and the language of the brochure.

A google search for +"cedar point" +"america sings" turned up the following link:

A couple of the photos have the caption "America Sings 2/ Cedar Point /72". If the caption means what it says, then the original "America Sings" would have been perfomed earlier, probably in '71.
The brochure also seems to focus on the Centennial Theatre, but the listing indicates that the show is performed elsewhere as well. That leads me to believe that they were trying to raise awareness of the CT, which would still be relatively new in '71. So, my vote is for 1971.
Bill's home page has a link for sending him a message; maybe he can provide a definitive answer.
