1910 or 1911 Brochure.

I got this brochure today and was researching trying to nail down what year it is.

1910 - New Bath House (is in picture)

1912 - Leap the Dips (located on current site of Blue Streak is not in picture)

1910 or 1911 is the best I can figure. Anyone else see anything that I don't that might nail it down?

wow - Cedar Point used to be quite something back in the day. I can only imagine it was amazing back then. Not that it isn't amazing now, but for totally different reasons. It would be REALLY cool if the CP of today restored or recreated some of the history from back then. Rebuilding the boardwalk, restoring the Colisseum, something. That would be awesome.

I must agree. I have an extensive collection of Cedar Point postcards, going back to the 1890's, and a find like that would fit in ever so nicely. So where do you live? (Just kidding.) (But just barely.) ;)

The RB Hayes was sold in 1910, therefore it's probably 1911.

Wow, $1.50 a night to stay at the Hotel Breakers. I wonder what the people of 1911 would think if they could see the prices today...

Saw this on Ebay recently, sold for $40.00. A rare find indeed. It said 1902 on the description.

That's the one and the same. It's obviously not a 1902 though. I'm not sure why the seller thought it was. Breakers opened in 1905, Circle swing in 1906, Steam Ship Service began in 1907. All of those can be seen in the aerial view.

That is pretty sweet.

Going to be hard to tell if its 1910 or 1911 though. Walt's history page skips 1911 (I'm assuming because there weren't any significant happenings that year) and I don't think we've got anyone who was alive and old enough to remember.

Try contacting the park, possibly they have an archive. (long shot, but could work).

In tring to determine the date of the brochure, I utilized many different websites with Cedar Point history. Including PointBuzz, CedarPoint.com and others.

No, the lagoons were dredged. CP is/was a barrier beach peninsula, similar to Bay Point on the other side of Sandusky Bay.

Cool find, I love to see CP history. Wow how crouded that beach was.
