120 MPH for how long?

How long will we be traveling at 120 MPH after the drop and were going on level track. In other words, how close to the station do the Brakes kick in? Will it be a significant distance or do u think right after the drop we will begin to be slowed down?

I think I remember reading somewhere that the brakes start on the drop. I hope not though. But then again, I hope so so we don't pull too many g's.

From this picture it looks like the brakes start very close to the drop.

While this shot, beautifally spliced by Walt, (:)) shows that it will be much further from the drop. Although traveling at 120mph you won't know the difference...

The brakes start about 150 feet after pulling up to level from what I can see, which will be traveled in a second or less at 120 mph. That "midway vision" off of virtual midway makes it look longer than it actually is because of the wide angle. Even if it is only for a second on each side, it's still 2 seconds more 120mph time than any other ride out there.

I know that when I hit the brakes I won't care - I'll be too busy getting my head back together :)

Aye. It's high.

If the hydraulics launch you at 120 MPH, then you should hit 120 two times during the course of the ride; immediately after the launch, and the short 150 foot section between the end of the drop and the brakes.

Given that, you'll probably be moving at 120 MPH for a matter of a few seconds, probably less.
