I haven't seen this discussed recently, if ever. But here is a trivia question.
What does the 12E on Disaster Transport represent?
I've got a cookie for the first person to come up with the answer.

Deja Vu. It seems like we just talked about this yesterday. Oh wait... :)
Darn it! I'm sorry guys. I even did a google search for this topic on site:pointbuzz and it found similar threads, but those were from 2000 and 2003. Again, sorry!

I just out of curiousity sake went to ITEC website. I had no idea that the same company that put together the complex projects listed in the portfolio was indeed the same creator of DT's theming. DT must have been a low key/budget undertaking considering some of the large scale projects they are involved with.
Blue people fly sideways when it rains
I believe that this question was also posted on Tony and Tylers blog a while back. It did look familiar to me as well.
Cedar Point, Americas rip- rockin', high flyin', sky defyin', record breakin' roller coast
^^ Disaster Transport's theming was actually quite good when it first opened - especially for Cedar Point. It just didn't last because no one maintained it.
Who wants to bet campfreak06 thought he had inside information that it was Kinzel's shoe size? ;)
(All in good fun)
Well, whaddya know. There is a Candy Mountain.
To tell the truth, the way I came up with that trivia question was the T&T blog. I wanted to go back and see when the blog began, and I ran across a 12E blog.
In the blog, it states that only 1% of Cedar Point employees know what it means. When I worked there in '02, I sure as heck had no clue what it meant.

What does any of the theming on Disaster Transport stand for? As Avalanche Run the same ride was probably as much fun as it is now, maybe more. DT is a fun ride, gets a lot of bad publicity, maybe because the theming is real bad (there is a lighted sign that goes REJECT....REJECT....REJECT...), I'm sure there are many thoughts about where to direct those comments!
Getting back to the question, 12E sounds more like a shoe size than a trip into the world of "Disaster Transport".....but.....NASA is ramping up research and what is going on at NASA Plumb Brook Station just south of Cedar Point?.....perfect theming concepts for....a future ride????

Quick note; if you're actually considering buying the glasses, if you just can't ride without them, go to the exit. The garbage can right next to the exit of the ride usually has nothing but 3D glasses in and around it. I was ticked as a college student when I shelled out for the glasses and there were about a thousand clean and practially brand new pairs just sitting there when we walked out.
No, 12E is a mathmatical problem. What is 12 times the E constant?
No, not Euler's number.
