On tuesday i traveled up to CP and rode MF i only waited an hour and a half! Anyways, back to the subject. While i was waiting in line a guy was wearing an MF shirt that said it broke 11 world records.... it had the original 10 and had one extra.... First theme park to have 2 rollercoasters over 200 ft. if this has been posted already forgive me

That is the record that they ended up dropping from the list to only give MF 10 records. What other park has two hypers?
They might be dropping a couple more if the specs on the Steel Dragon are accurate.

Looks like they waited until MF specs were out and worked to edge them out. I think it opens in August. (Of course it could be a rumour as well.)

No, Steel Stragon is for real, but they get the records until it opens.

And even after it opens, they still held those records when the T-shirt was printed. You always see references to Cedar Point's record breaking coasters. Even though they no longer hold the records, Magnum, Gemini and Mean Streak are all record-breakers.

Snake River Falls was the tallest water ride when it opened in 1993. White Water Landing was the longest flume ride when it opened in 1982.

I'm not sure they can claim that anymore. They touted Goliath as tallest [250-something]. Now, with S:TR at 400 tower and maybe 370 by car-tip... that couldn't be right. Unless they have stopped calling S:TR a coaster. Which only gives them 1.

If you compare maximum possible speeds, it's worth about 0.8 mph.
That said, MF's 92 isn't it's max possible speed.

MF still has the records because it is in operation now. It still will have been the first in those categories. Steel Dragon 2000 is not in operation now, so the record is currently being held by MF and you and I (in a week) have had the
priviledge to ride it during its reign........

No way Steel Dragon will be faster than MF!
Steel Dragon is only 8 feet taller and it's angle of descent is only 68 degrees that's 12 less than MF. MF also has a higher initial speed because of the cable lift.
