11 AM Openings?

I tried to search via google, but didn't come up with a relevant thread...

Anyone know what, if any, attractions open at 11 rather than at 10? We're thinking of heading up on Thursday and starting in the back. I'm thinking about getting there early enough for JCC, but may not depending on what opens when back there.

All rides open at 10, though some may not be running at capacity. Power Tower, for instance, only runs one gondola on each side (red and green) for about an hour and a half in the morning.

I was under the impression that SRF and TC also don't open until 11.

Doesn't Mean Streak open at 11?

No, earlier this year I ran to Maverick, but they were having problems with it, so I went back to Mean Streak at 10:15 and it was running.

Last year, however, I believe MS was opening at 11. I'm sure that Maverick has something to do with the change, as evidenced above.

^But does anyone have proof? Cuz I know for a fact that no one in their right mind would even bother to go to DT before 11 am... so maybe it is open, and no one knows it ;) *** Edited 7/16/2007 8:31:18 PM UTC by Dvo***

DT opens at 11. I've noticed early on in the season some mornings Mean Streak was opening at 11 as well while waiting in line for Maverick, but not the last couple weeks.

^^ I've ridden DT before 11, so what does that say about my mind?

Peanuts Playground doesn't open until 11 -- not a ride, but an attraction at least.

It says that you were in your left mind, but not your right, Ensign. :)

Actually I left my mind in San Francisco.

We never did that the entire summer I worked on power tower. Only if the park were extremely dead did we ever cut a tower and send people home.

Gemini doesn't always run both sides first thing in the morning either, and I've noticed Snake River Falls closed during my morning time in that area. Those are the only things I've noticed on a regular basis.

And this is 2007. Don't you suppose things may have changed?

Tony Clark says he's pretty sure that Snake River Falls and Disaster Transport open at 11, but he'll get back to me on the specifics, and if there are other rides. Obviously if there's some closure or other issue, it's always possible that they could open a ride earlier.

Disaster Transport, Peanuts Playground, Paddlewheel and Turnpike Cars all open at 11am.

Snake River and Thunder Canyon open at either 11am or noon depending on the season. They also close 1 hour early.

Mean Streak was a late opener last year, but with more business in the back of the park it is once again a 10am opener.

DT had a sign on 7/16 that the ride will open at 11am

I figured that either. . .

not enough morning crew showed up on time to open the ride, or...

maintenance ran over and wasn't able to have all the inspections done before 10am

It didn't matter, the ride did open eventually.

At least they put a sign out to let everyone know.

Also, Power Tower was only running 1 of each tower early, when there was clearly enough people to run 2 of the towers on the shoot down side, later all towers were running

GATEKEEPER-I came, I rode, I was mildly disappointed; until a second ride (rear left) put GateKeeper back on the...it's a nice ride list.
