10/9-10/11 or 10/30-11/1?

My 18th birthday is on the last day of this month and for a gift to myself, I'll be going out to Cedar Point. My options are between these two weekends, and both are equally easy for me to do, as I have grandparents living about 30 miles from the park. Which would be the best option for someone who doesn't get much time at CP over the summer, and has never attended the Halloween events?

I would try to avoid the weekend of 10/9 and 10/10. That is Columbus Day weekend and the busiest weekend of the entire year. Closing weekend shouldn't be too bad crowd wise, however the weather may be on the cool side and the haunts will still be open.
