any speculation on what "Mystery" they are referring to?

Humm interesting, I know Sunday 10/10/10 the park is opened 10am till 10pm.

Sigh... facebook people have already started the "please be a new coaster" comments.... poor fools are setting themselves up for disappointment.

Next they will be doing the math that it must be 10 new coasters of 10 different types that will open on 10 different days all having 10 different record setting elements on 10 acres of newly acquired property.

So you're tell me that there's a mystery, and it hasn't been all over this forum for the past five months? This has to be HUGE! Did anyone check the Register this morning to see if they let the cat out of the bag again? ;)

But really, I haven't the slightest idea of what they're hinting at here.

If anyone is taking bets, put me down for... $10 admission on October 10th. :)

I was thinking the same thing, My only problem is that is is Columbus day and going to be a very busy weekend without any promo price. Lowering the ticket price will likely fill the park but also probably lose them money at the end of the day since it would have been a busy day with $40 tickets.

$10 off admission is probably the best guess yet, and seems like the most plausible. We shall have to wait a few more hours and see.

Meanstreak was Cedar Point's 10th coaster, 2011 will be 20 years since Meanstreak opened.

So what's probably happening is that it'll get Timberliners that seat 20 people. That takes care of 5 10's.

That and a new coaster. Or not.

Shoot the rapids 2010, 10 boats, 10 ppl per boat, which will be on the ride on October 10th :)

Too bad I'm not going until the 22nd! D: For which I am completely stoked, by the way. I haven't been able to get back there since the most glorious weekend of my life back in the ninth grade, when I somehow managed to convince my parents to take me on the 8-hour pilgrimage for Dragster's first Halloweekends. No luck getting back year after year, but I still followed park news from my miserable computer chair in Baltimore ever since. But THIS is the year- I turn twenty one right around Halloween, and to celebrate I'm FINALLY managing to get there. I'm ridiculously excited, discounted tickets or not :D
